You should be able to set filters for who can see your profile, like by age. I’m tired of getting horny messages from old men I want nothing to do with. It would help a lot of people out and help to get rid of unwanted messages and taps.

Being able to only see the profiles from those interested in people of whichever age you are. The amount of misplaced energy starting conversations with people looking for younger/older guys than you is staggering.

I'd like this. It works both ways. I'd be happy not getting a bunch of creepy kids in their 20s calling me daddy. I'm looking for a serious partner.

I’ll be honest, the age consent is 16 in Ohio, the app say +17... I know that older guys may creep on young guy but some of y’all need to understand if young guys that are at LEAST the age of 17 and wants to hookup with older men let us. Of something goes wrong the block button is there for a reason and I think 17 year olds should be able to be on here with no problem and we should be able to set our age on here to 17, if older guys don’t wanna mess with us because our age..alright if they block us oh well, us teens want sex (not to sound weird) and teens our age don’t really get that and Grindr is basically our only way to get what we desire

Like to search for guys based on the age group they are interested in. I like younger guys but hard to determine who are interested in older

Age filter does not work

My favorite feature is that I can choose the age range of people I prefer to chat too. However I get overly inundated with people very far outside my preferred age range. I believe the app should not allow them to leave a message if they’re not within that preferred age group. Some of these kids leave five and six messages a day. Even when I say politely no thank you it doesn’t stop them. I really thought that’s why the age range was there: folter out age groups incompatible to me.

In the right corner, opposite of online dot and name, allow the age to be seen to help in the viewed me section, taps, and chats. Would help with people that get spammed by older people who doesn't like it without having to view the profile.

I normally opt for the Age filter that helps me see profile between 23-45 years of age. But when I opt for that filter Grindr hides those potential profiles too who don't want to show their age...

You have a "not mentioned" option in the position filter so why not give the same "not mentioned" option for the age filter?!

If I'm only interested in guys 30-45 but a 70 yr old hits me up, or a 19 yr old hits me up and says "hi". Instead of being rude and not replying or blocking them, with the modified filter they wouldn't even see me so it's all avoided.

I think that's a terrific idea. Nothing is more disheartening than hearing that tap sound only to see that it's from some slob old enough to have been your high school theater teacher.

When using an age or height filter. It also removes people with no age or hight listed. We should be able to select allow for profiles with no height or weight listed to also show up (like in other categories). I don’t think people realize that when they have it blank in their profile. They won’t show up when other people have a filter on.

Can you update the app so if I set my max age to a certain age then someone older than that can’t see me on their app? I’m tired of ppl way older than my preference messaging me. Please update that.

All of these comments about ageism are ridiculous. This isn't a job offer. I'm under no obligation to sleep with anyone, especially someone I'm not attracted to. I constantly receive messages from much older men that don't read my profile saying I'm not interested beyond my stated age range.

Clearly it would be MORE beneficial for those older men to ONLY see the profiles that have no issue with their age. This feature would be a win-win.

Btw, just blocking them doesn't help. They just keep remaking their account and messaging you again a month later.

Apps like Tinder not only allows you to filter for an age range but it also makes you visible to that range. I think that would be a pretty good idea so you don't have people 20 years older than you hitting you up and sending you nudes.

I would like to be able to apply a filter in Taps and Messages (like on profiles page).
Let's say I want to see Taps and messages only from Versatile people of certain age. That way I see who I could talk without going through profiles one by one.

I agree with this, this is WHY I quit Grindr.

I got WAY TOO MANY men that were old enough to be my father or my grandfather trying to date me, even AFTER I wrote out that I was not interested in men beyond 26/27 (I'm 23, and I do add in more ages, but remove ages below me as well).

I'm a COLLEGE STUDENT interested in dating those who are in my age range, not gross old men that remind me too much of my father or my grandfather, and who get MAD because I don't want to see their nasty dick pics or ass pics I didn't ask for.
