Allow us to chose a sound like the ones preloaded on the phone. Everyone knows the Grindr notification sound and in some situations it can be embarrassing

I need to get sounds

Discreet sound notifications so I can have my sound notifications on and people don’t hear the iconic grinder notification lol

1000 percent agree with this. When we do have freedom to have sound it is ridiculous to only have one option of sound, a very disruptive sound if resonates in a business environment or crowded elevator etc!

Customization of sounds would be more appropriate.

Allow to change the notification sound to something more discrete

Alas I have found the solution. In the Grindr app, go to settings>notifications>notification settings>notification management. Just as the previous post suggested. However, make sure the notification settings is turned ON. Then you can silence each notification sound within the app. If you turn notifications OFF from within the phone settings it only prevents the app from displaying notifications on your phone. It does nothing for the sounds within the app. Grindr should fix that but none the less, it works

The Grindr notification sound is very unique and thus easily identifiable. It would be beneficial to be able to change this sound to maintain discretion while using the app.

actually, you can change the notification sound, with android at least. Go to settings>notification settings>Notification management. This takes me to the android notification settings and allows me to change the Grindr notification to whatever I like. Now, about that damm message sent beep...ANNOYING! I know I've sent a message, the message posts, You used to be able to disable this so can we go back to the future

I have stopped the sounds from the settings.

But Sense the last update it doesn't make any changes.

Fix the problem so I can reinstall the app please ASAP 🙏

In app sounds can potentially get people in trouble who are not out such as to family Or classmates

Please give us the option to change the notification sound. It becomes awkward at times when we receive a notification in public.

Please able to turn off sounds, very annoying...

I should have read further along before I posted my comment about the same thing. Very annoying that it is overriding its own settings as well as my phone settings.

Allow to change the sound of the message notifications to be equal to whatssap or a regular sms

I am not able to turn off the sound of sending messages and tapping someone. It's very annoying and disturbing.

New message notifications from favorites and non-favorites should be grouped separately, with customizable alert sounds too.

So bad that u cant turn off!!!!
