Allow people to filter gender: man, trans man, woman, trans woman.

IMO the app should support women too because many of men are bisexuals. The same of women, many of them are bisexuals too. It would need only a few more categories and the app would work for all genders

I noticed women are coming up more on the app. Why not have a separate way to search for them like in tribe or gender

Since Grindr decided to change its gender and pronoun options, a feature allowing users to filter by gender Identity and or pronouns would be nice. This would allow for users to not have to waste their blocks, blocking users that they do not want to see, since Grindr only shows a certain amount of profiles at once.
For example: Being able to set filters to show only cisgender men.

Have a filter by pronouns so when search through trans you can identify people you are interested in connecting with

Search radius: even when searching its hard to find people in close proximity and end up finding people miles away if possible to have a distance range to be able to search with a certain distances to make search and meets easier
Tribes/gender: if possible like looking for body types or age can it be possible to have a search tab for ts, TV, CD and ftm if possible -

Literally stumbled on this page looking for a way to do exactly this (filter out the trans people from my the grinder app). I'm a gay man looking for other gay men, not a repressed ******** looking for cross dressers / transvestites.
Live and let live for sure, but if there is a filter for literally everything else, then why not this? -

The ablility to view just men? I am "exclusively" into gay men as the apps description suggests. PornHub and Chaturbate have this option. Either that or make a separate app exclusively for transgender. Transgender are not gay.

I just ignore this field. It should be obvious to anyone with a brain what pronouns I prefer. This is the dumbest thing to have in a profile. I don't like being told before I have even spoken to someone how I am supposed to address them. If someone gets offended because I used the wrong pronoun, that's their problem. I would not want to talk to someone or meet them if they're one of those "triggered" types who live their life constantly being offended by others. I think the pronoun discussion should happen in a conversation, not in a profile.

I think you should just ignore this and get over it. It’s not right to force others to conform to your opinions about what is appropriate. You can’t change other people’s views with a gender pronoun. You change them with your behavior.

Be able to filter by gender. If we have the option when filling out profile then we should have it as a filter option. Without needing extra.

I vote for this idea. As a man who is only looking to date trans women or CD I get inundated by **** pics from cis men. The first line of my profile states 'NO GUYS' yet constant unwanted messages. I'm not on the site for *** either so these messages are so annoying

How about trans use their own app? I’m a gay man looking for MEN. That’s what Grindr was designed for.

I’m sorry but I’m not really up on these terms meaning. I have ultimate respect for anyone in our gay community and don’t wish anyone harm by my words. However a little guidance would be helpful. I really did not have a clue what the pronouns meant. It was tempting to put something humerus I’m glad I didn’t now. In return can people in the transgender community please stop using terms like creepy old men and no oldies. Can’t help getting old this is making me feel very uncomfortable. Especially if I want to just offer a comment of support and solidarity and get blocked automatically like a common *** pest. I understand the desire to get rid of unwanted attention but at what cost to me or other oldish people. I’m only 50 years old.

Add ability to filter out users by gender and or sexuality. If you're not interested in women, then you should be able to filter them out. Grindr used to be for men only, so that was not necessary. But now grindr has a little bit of everyone...

I want users to be required to select gender preference options because I get messages from gay men even though I’m a trans girl and I want to be only on people’s feeds that like girls

I notice that while I can narrow my searches in many ways, Gender is not one of them - Which I should think a rather important screening tool.

Grindr used to be only for gay guys. Now it seems it's for all genders which is great, but I'm gay and tbh I'm really sick of all the genders that I have absolutely no ****** desire for clogging up the limited spaces we get. Please allow us to hide genders that are incompatible with our own ****** preference

As a ***** man, I'm really sick of clicking profiles to realize its a straight dude looking for women with homophobic things written on his profile. Please add a free gender filter so our feeds are not filled with people looking for other gender options. More and more straight men and transwomen and nonbinary folks are using Grindr (and even some cis women), but there is no way to filter out the gender(s) you are not interested in. Everyone should have the option to only see the gender(s) they're interested in.
