This idea and the expiring photos really suck. I block anyone who sends me an expiring photos it's obnoxious

Sounds like more complication than benefit,if you decide you no longer want a contact to have your info use the block it deletes it all.id be in favor of a reset conversation for instance you want to have future contact but you want the pics and conversation deleted.

Timed destruction for sent pics. I have a problem with sending face pictures only because I don't want them saved or misused. If we could set a timer for how long our pics can be viewed by the recipient, that would be great. Screenshot-restricted too.

No thank you. It's bad enough everyone insists on Snapchat where you can't retain history. I'm far too forgetful for all that.

I had the opposite experience it did not work and then it started working. Though I have a maximun of 5 and normally at the third pic that I send something go wrong and it tells that I have zero pics left for the next 24 h

Silly idea. If you're not prepared to stand by your message you shouldn't be sending it in the first place.

This makes absolutely no sense. People are already devious and perverted enough. This will only encourage even MORE bullying and harassment.

Persons would get around this feature by taking a photo of the message with another phone or camera which they can keep for later reference the same way they do with the photos y’all send thinking they can’t be otherwise retained. The idea is good but in practice it’s a waste of time.

Need feature of expiring photo . Option to delete message for both users is also required.

please add a feature that deletes the picture after sending and seen by the other party

You have to pay $40 a month(lol) to do this but at least it’s a feature. Mostly only for pictures, but you can unsend messages too, which just means you have to do the timing yourself. Much bigger issues at hand.

Allow user to select a setting which sets the time frame that a private picture sent exists in both users messages. User can select from a list “sent picture are” : permanent unless deleted, timed for:
Sender can select the length of the picture. Timer can begin from when picture is sent, OR from when picture is delivered OR from when the picture is read. time remaining until message expires is known to both users
