I agree whole heartedly. It is to the point that I'm about to cancel membership.

EVERY TIME that I view a profile and go back to the thumbnail screen.... it refreshes. Thus have to scroll from the top EVERY time. So annoying. Never used to do this. Refresh every 5 minutes or give a button to refresh please.

This is so frustrating, especially when you visited a profile which was further down in distance and when you're back, the app takes you to the top again. By the time you get back to that old distance, auto refresh happens again and takes me to top.

Stop this constant fucking auto refresh nonsense! It's doing my head in!!!

One thing I noticed, is that this behaviour is different in different cities. Not that big of an issue in London (I'm UK based) but when I'm in Budapest, it's unbearable. So frustrating!

It also does the automatic refresh when you're viewing your favorited profiles. You can't get more than a few down before it refreshes and takes you right back to the top.

Having the same problem, it's extremely frustrating. We pay way too much for this app for this type of issue not to be answered. This has been going on for about a week now, I've restated, forced stop, checked for updates and logged out and in. I backed up my chats but I know if I uninstall and reinstall, the chats won't reload properly (because they never do) and I'll lose all my chats. You guys need to fix this constant refresh problem!

They don't give a crap about the users. It's all about getting us to engage here. We've been complaining about auto refresh how long now?? And, they just make it worst.

Auto refresh is going crazy, refreshes after each person I chat with; the most annoying big by far. Auto refresh should be allowed to be disabled. Never understood why that wasn't a feature. Also, bring back ethnicity filter; I want to find fellow native americans like me which is impossible without it.

I agree with the other comments just updated Grindr and the automatic refresh every 20 secs or so and if you look at a profile it automatically refreshes!!

It takes back to the top of the page.I have been a long time user and there is no end of issues with the app certainly, its not worth what they charge for membership.I wont be renewing again.. Should be an option to switch it off..

Damn! This is so frickin annoying! I can't get past the 2nd "page" because every time I scroll down to check out profiles, the entire thing refreshes with that stupid, high-pitched sound and poof! I'm back at the top of the profiles. Sometimes this happens literally every 20 to 30 seconds! 😡

I'm having the same annoying issue. I can't even browse profiles because as soon as I go down a few swipes, it scrolls back up. Not really getting the full experience

If nothing else, give us an option to toggle auto-refresh on and off. I hate the auto refresh feature - especially since we can already do it manually anyway!

Random app updates sometimes cause the 3 profile browse pages to auto scroll back to top of page after selecting and viewing a profile. This scrolling is not a refresh as these pages do not reload/update. This also appears to have a “timer” as there is a pattern to this problem. Very annoying to lose your page position and hopefully this isn’t a new feature.

Yes when I search or look at favorites it refreshes over and over and you have to look at the profiles from beginning of the grid. Stop refreshing.
I can do this on my own.

Terribly annoying, I cancelled my subscription because of this. Not worth paying to access more profiles if you can't get to more than 100 because it auto-refreshes midway. Just add the functionality to the up button to scroll to the top or to the side of it!
