If people in homophobic countries are so worried about their location and stuff maybe they shouldn’t be on the app

Allow Grindr to send a code or link to the email provided at sign-up to verify a valid email address. This will reduce the number fake accounts, prevent people from quickly creating a new account after someone blocked them, provide a way to reset forgotten login info, and reduce duplicate profiles for people who constantly download and delete the app.

There has been a part of your profile where you can disclose your HIV status on Grindr for a while now. Why isn’t there a similar status box for HPV and HSV1-2 (herpes). The online community of Grindr has always been divided between people that are “clean” and those that are “poz” but the thing is no one really ever talks about the other STD’s that aren’t curable on here. they see negative HIV and think they’re good to go. Most people that have HPV or HSV don’t even know they have it. Grindr should be more inclusive to everyone being able use their app without having to constantly disclose status to everyone in a direct message because the app isn’t designed with other STD’s in mind There should also be a box for other STD’s as a possible check mark for someones profile and encouragement through advertising to not treat the poz as second to first in the queer community.

I'm from Brazil and in my region there are many profiles of people going through other "fakes" to curb this type of practice I suggest checking profiles by photo similar to using Tinder, this would give more security for the community to know that the person who you're chatting with is really what matches the profile picture

Mise en place d'une authentification des profils vérifiés (à l'aide d'une coche par exemple), mais également en empêchant les photos de mêmes personnes sur des profils différents.

I suggest that every user must upload Identity Card in order to use the app and create a profile. This will avoid fake homophobic profiles and spam.

I really prefer using condoms and it’s been hard to find guys who do too, particularly because Prep is so widespread (and I’m on it too). Anyways, I slipped up a couple of times and had unprotected sex because I’d made plans with people, then found out at the last minute that they “wanted my kids in them”. Which hey, not gonna shame anyone, it’s a turn on, but it’s something I’m willingly trying to deprive myself of due to fun new strains of gonorrhea and emergent STIs (HIV is only like 50 years old guys, it can happen again). Anyhoo I might’ve been exposed to chlamydia. We’ll see about the test results, but I’d really like to be able to advertise that I only want to use condoms from now on. Not worth the risk, and I think Grindr is inadvertently promoting unprotected sex and STI outbreaks by not bringing back this option. Am I wrong, but didn’t you used have it in the earlier 2010s?

I get catphished more often than I talk to real people in a given day on grindr. It would be super easy for you to add a validation option badge and then I could simply ignore people who don't want to validate. Real people are always happy to validate. I don't have time for 20 people to catphish me every day. I want to meet real people!🙏🥺 these people are malicious and they block me as soon as I ask for validation. It wastes more than half of my time on the app and seriously deteriorates my experience.

Add a verification badge that verifies the users face like bumble & tinder have. It will get rid of bots & the fake people using others profile pictures.

Add idenity verification, like ID or mobile phone etc... add longer profile name, comments and description field lengths. Add larger number of photos to profile (public and private), Add ability to add unique self-defined fields with answers to such

This is more important than anything else on Grindr and it needs to happen ASAP. Too many fake people on here, and the scary part is some of them actually want to meetup knowing they are not who they say they are. Grindr please do this ASAP

Yes, we badly need a Verification badge on this site's profiles. I myself have been clicked by anon profiles - actually using photo of someone I know - 200 miles away!

Make all users verify their identity using a state ID. Don't make that info public just use it for verification purposes. This eliminates spammers completely, and if a hookup God forbid turns into a sexual assault or a robbery, then the assailant can be more easily tracked down and prosecuted. But no user will directly be able to identify another user. Just grindr and law enforcement if it comes down to that.
