Really need some kind of account verification. This guy was fooling around with me and sent me the wrong address and made me feel very uncomfortable. Could've been a really bad situation

How about a private people’s met list, so we could put in every profile of the people we met, and the date, in case we get tested positive for any STD, in order to warn them? Instead of trying to remember them and risk forgetting one when we send the unwanted text.. 💀

My pics get used so many times and I can’t do anything about it. I thought of you filtering through all the pics and trying to figure out someone using someone’s pics, but this is a much better idea.
Make it possible to verify and the app will be so much better!!

Makes filters to narrow by distance and std status

This is a great idea. I am so tired of getting catfished. These younger queens and bots are using what we feel is our only way of cmmunicating sexually and just destroying it. I get so upset becuase it hppens to me more than once a week.

Allow anonymous alerts to people you have previously text to inform them of any STI infection after receiving a positive result. This protects any individual from being bullied or branded, but sends the message to those concerned to get tested.
I had my latest screening in Jan 2021 after meeting 1 guy on Grindr we met several times and had fun but he was not monogamous and had other partners. I found out I caught an STI and since my last test in October I had two partners both from Grindr.
I was given a slip from STI CLINIC to send to both these guys but would like my anonymity protected
See the attached photo
This would ensure all STI’s are treated as quickly and effectively as possible. And anyone at risk is notified in the shortest timeframe.

Have it so your profile photos are verified, have some sort of I’d system so others can not screenshot your pfp and pretend to be you

Here is one way of doing it that would preserve discretion for users who don't wish to post a public photo on their profile. This solution could live alongside a more universal verification process for those that do post a public photo.

A great way for this to work would be a symbol to verify the indicate has been authenticated as human and one step further a watermark similar to that of the Grindr logo on any pictures that you upload which would confirm the picture has been verified as belonging to the authenticated user

Even if accounts are able to stay anon and discreet implement the choice of being verified so people can get on with what they want faster without being catfished or being put in danger, also having the choice of just showing verified profiles will make Grindr a much better and safer experience in general.

IMPLEMENT VERIFIED PROFILES ONCE AND FOR ALL!!
You should be protecting your genuine users not supporting the fakes, cat fishes and pic collectors.
Scruff has a very successful verified profile roll out.

It's full of fake profiles. You need to do something fast.

That is not something we currently do, but we appreciate the idea!

Grindr used to have an HIV status filter option, but I believe removed it as a social justice/virtue signal move to appear to be more "inclusive". Good luck getting them to bring it back, as it would mean less profits for the company.

Grindr should add a filter for STD status. So if i wanted to look for someone that had their status on their profile. I also think that this filter should be free to keep true to grindr's support of std awareness, testing, and treatment.

Let Xtra/Unlimited users have a second profile attached to their account in case they have information they want known but don’t want associated or made public. For example some one into fetishes but doesn’t want everyone they know who is also on Grindr to know. Someone not ready to share their HIV status but wants a profile where they can have it listed for people who are interested
