Making Grindr a safe place is a priority for the LGBTI community, the idea is to merge the app with the health care providers, making the app safer for all users.
In case someone is having a health issue like any STD, or Covid-19, is to disable temporary the user account till he gets better, in order to stop spreading any disease between the app users.

Grinder should also have seperate rooms to go to instead of having to browse for hrs to find a few good men lolol. Put the bears n leather daddy's in a group, twinks n muscles, cd's n trans in a group that way if you like bears you know exactly where to go n save a lot of time n aggravation!

As most state laws are *extremely medieval , non reported cases today are alarming fearing for their lives, both within the LGBTQ+ & social community. Implementation of this request will provide a safer space & heal us in the long term. Pls take this feature suggestion as my personal cry for mercy , given personal-past trauma. I guess as trans I generate a good amount of clicks but honestly im so sick to get scammed by fake accounts at least once a week, and then I feel sad as an authentic and long-term user of grindr... Sorry guys but if u don't fix this and don't offer a verification to be safe i gonna leave that app and stay with other providers.. i rly like grindr but not in the way to get betrayed over and over again... Very very sad

Put a verified person role to avoid fake profiles

Have users take a photo(of face) using the app and permissions for use of camera. To verify they are a real person. For the discreet users they must verify but do NOT have to upload a public face picture but will be able to show they are verified. Heres the easier option for age verification along with identity is having the user upload a government issued photo ID, this will definitely prevent underage user and scam/fake accounts and adding the "take a selfie" will work as an extra verification.

1000%. This is an easy way to foster more care among our community without exposing anyone to retaliation or shame. In fact, this would be a game changer in the arena of STI contact tracing and treatment.

1) Allow users to log a hookup with another user (a simple tap of a button on their profile). This will log the date of the encounter
2) If a user is diagnosed, have an area of the app that lets them easily notify all users they had sexual contact with backdated to their last STI test.
3) Notify STI clinics of this feature and encourage doctors to discuss this feature with patients

After you hookup with someone you should have a list were you can put their info of when and what you did. This makes contact tracing easy for if you contract an STI.

Also to add with that could there be a Age verification by submitting a State Issued photo ID? There’s a lot of minors that are users.

If this feature was to be used I would not only come back to Grindr I would pay for the subscription again as well.
