Ive noticed a poz tag but nothing for people who are poz to say that they cant transmit it or even to say what the status of their staus is. People who live with HIV already get shuned by the queer community for there status due to lack of understanding and unwillingness to look past it and learn.

Could this also be used to lock people to a profile you know so people don't create new profiles every couple weeks and hit up the same people over and over again. Hoping they'll forget that they weren't interested.?

Grindr has no intention of adding this option as they'd loose a lot o users the ones that catfish, also they are money hungry

There are still a lot of DL guys on the app. And not being able to change your location means it's very easy for someone to create a new account and identify who in their dorm or apartment complex are on the app, before they have a chance to block you.
It would be nice to offset your location so people can't just walk right up to your place and identify who you are and that you're using the app.

Most people who have HIV do not post their status because of alienation and bullying from those who haven’t researched. Thanks to medicine, most people who have HIV now are undetectable and on medication, which means they cannot transmit the virus. Anyone who has an issue with HIV today has not done their research on it

There are so many uninformed users that believe that a HIV Status of Negative = No/Less Risk & definitely safer than a HIV Status = Poz/Undetectable. And as a 33 year Survivor “HIV Testing”/FACTS should be one the FIRST items, Not “Anal Health”

Grindr should build in sti contact tracing. Here's how I see this working:
- mark people you've hooked up with, associated with a date
- this could sync with Apple Health Sexual Activity and/or Android equivalent
- for spam prevention, Grindr could require the other user to confirm, or require that the chat between them have > 1-n threshold messages
- user notifies on the app if they get a positive result
- at this point, Grindr anonymously informs everyone from the past 60 days automatically
- alternatively, users can opt in to supply a custom message and not be anonymous
- Grindr uses user location to provide the potentially at-risk users recommendations for free/subsidized/low-cost testing sites located near them -

For me is the verification like planetromeo doing the best.
Here a copy of the text from planetromeo how does it works:
When a user saves you, they have the option to mark you as ‘known personally’. Once 10 users have done this, and they are collectively known by at least 100 other users, you are verified. Click on your badge for more information.Why have grinder nothing? I get everyday so many messages from
“Idiots” fake Profil guys. They open every day new profiles. For me soon a reason to stop use Grindr. -

I should be able to hide my profile from users who:
* Have no profile photo
* Haven't completed their bio
* Haven't listed an HIV test date
* Are outside of the age range I'm interested in
* Are of an ethnicity I'm not attracted toIm tired of my mailbox filling up with folks who I have no interest in meeting

HIV status should be setbto "unknown" by default
If a user updates the date of their last test, they should be able to change the status, but prohibited/blocked if they don't update the test date.
If the test date is 90-180 days or longer ago, the status changes back to "unknown"This will reduce the instances of people claiming to be negative when they haven't been tested, which should protect us all.
But further, knowingly making a false claim of being HIV negative should result in being banned from the platform. -

This undermines the explore feature which costs money to access in Xtra… allowing it, only android users could spoof their location and ‘cruise’ locations. It their own
