So every couple of hours i receive a spam message with a URL in it. Can Grindr not implement either a CAPTCHA to send a message with a URL in it, or prevent messages with URL's in them?

Your clients use people for fake pics and FRAUD, should the FBI be brought about. Where do victims complain

Users should have the option to flag a profile as being a fake profile (either spammer, scammer or the type that send pics, arranges to meet and then blocks you last minute),
To combat the risk of malicious or unjust flags, a system should be implemented where X amount of separate flags over X amount of time would be needed to trigger an active flag.
The flagged profile could feature a disclaimer saying something like 'Warning, multiple users have flagged this profile as being suspicious (Fake, Scammer, Spammer).' as either a 'first base' before receiving enough flags to qualify for review by grindr support team, or as a placeholder to warn other users until grindr support team have time to investigate.
New profiles could have a lower threshold of reports before displaying the 'Flagged' badge and/or before reaching the threshold of requiring a review from Support.
This idea has come to me as a few times recently I've got talking to catfish profiles that I'm sure I recognise, but I'm not 100%, then the inevitable happens and after hours of wasted conversation, usually minutes before they (or you) are due to arrive at the door a block is received. Then I remember this is where I recognise them from.
A quick check with local friends will confirm that the same/similar has happened to them yet these profiles remain live for days or sometimes weeks before being banned (or before the catfishes get bored or run out of people to deceive).

Me (and probably everyone else) is getting tons of automated spam messages. Always with the same URLs such as "HornyGuys.org", "NSAsex.net", "GayLads.net" etc.
It's a very easy thing to implement a server-side blacklist that automatically blocks spam messages containing these URLs from reaching the users.
Please save us from this flood of always identical spam messages. It's an easy fix on your side, really.

Seriously, how difficult can this be? For starters, tighten up your sign-up process. You ask for an email, but never actually follow through to have the user verify it. I know some guys use this trick by using a non-existent email address to create multiple profiles. I imagine the fake profiles and spammers are doing the same.

Please have feature that could b located by chat backup that allows you to clear all of your chat rooms including pinned and starred profile chat rooms, not the starred profiles but the chat rooms. I’ve got way to many chat rooms to keep up with from bots to fake sugar daddies to people who pass through and say hi or to inactive accounts.

I am feed up with spam, while you claim you address it. I don't see this at all. I am giving grindr until the end of the month to improve. If not I am out of here.

I agree. It takes 7 taps to report spam. You are tapping the same buttons every time. Just make it one button! This is a UX nightmare

There are a lot of spam accounts and messages. It would be handy to be able to filter/autoblock messages with certain keywords (e.g., URLs, escort etc.).

Allow XTRA/Unlimited members to have the option to be invisible to new profiles. This would stop the constant TAPs and spam messages.
XTRA/Unlimited members should still be allowed to view all profiles. -

I receive more and more spam, always containing the same text. It would be great to have a possibility to block users who send specific text, like "sex escort services" etc.

Why does Grindr take so long to listen to customers’ concerns or ideas? Some “Completed” have taken YEARS.
1. Profile Verification to weed out bots
2. Lower Prices
3. Unlimited expiring photos for everyone (screen shot blocking and notification)There are many more great ideas posted by REAL and concerned users. Please help us enjoy a better environment.

Verify accounts, one per phone number, black list abusers by phone number or IP address.
Also- when blocked by scammer first- we can’t see profile to report it. Leave a window to report a profile that is suspected scammer or pic/info miner. Reach out to your tech moguls about this kind of gig and how they vet this process? -

1 Commercial posts are not allowed. Yet every time I get a message referring me to a third party spam website, I report it and Grindr either NEVER delete it or take ages.
2 If Grindr IMMEDIATELY deleted SPAM posts that merely contained links to external sites, there would be no point in people even trying this. So the problem could easily be solved. So WHY NOT ?
3 When I do report SPAM, I'm made to watch an advert afterwards. No why should I be shown an ad when GRINDR have fouled up by permitting people to send me posts that do not conform to the rules ?

PLease find a better way to filter spam. Any time a user sends their first message and it is nothing but an URL, it should not be controversial to block these messages. Especially if it s the same url for spam that has been reported before.
