Those users can write to me, but if I switch to profile view of that user, it says blocked user, unblock.

Hello I just want to see if they could find a way to stop all these catfish guy and scammer. Yesterday 8/20/20 some one catfish me and end up finding my Facebook and started threaten me to send him money or he’s going to send out my *** pics he got from here.

The quality of my pictures is 100% but when I share them on Grindr, for example sending pictures on chats or put them on my profile, the quality gets so messed up

Paid members get some sort of badge/icon on profile to say they are verified and genuine.

The number of fake profiles on Grindr is getting ridiculous! Especially if you are in a rural area. None of the other apps have this problem. Why is Grindr so behind? Not only is it annoying getting taps and messages from fake profiles or getting tons of views from 700+ miles away, guys are starting to block innocent/legitimate users, thinking they were one of the fake ones. I suspect this could also be stopping people from upgrading to XTRA or Unlimited. Why would we want to pay to see more fake profiles?

I’ve noticed the drug dealers and prostitutes stay posted on your site for several days after being reported to you, why is that? I think you could make much more money by enforcing “community guidelines” which would bring in people not interested in purchasing drugs or prostitution, and so I don’t understand why they are so prevalent and seemingly encouraged to have profiles on Grindr—?
I suppose neither activity is harmful between consenting adults, however, wouldn’t it be better for you to create a site specifically for them? That way, those looking for dates and/or *** (without involving an exchange of cash or drugs) would know they could rely on Grindr as a reliable site for them, and those looking for or selling drugs/prostitution could simply have their own site to find each other and leave the rest of us alone.

Time to join 2020, Grindr. Do what the other big dating apps do. Ask for a selfie post, verify it then have that profile as verified. FAR TOO MANY FAKES on Grindr and with age we know the tricks. First time young users though, risking their safety.

They don’t verify they use your number to ban you - hey also use your device registry number to bam you - totally invasive and it’s actually against the law as it co traveled the information privacy act - I am looking into reporting this activity to the Canadian government authorities and regulators !

The profiles that you have BLOCKED should remain BLOCKED, unless you unblock them. There is a reason why you blocked those profiles. They should not re-appear again in the profile’s screen. They can view your profile again and possibly send you a message. It is annoying. Instead of those potential profiles that you may like to chat, those blocked profiles are occupying the space.

Expiring Picture feature for all. Many people have lost their jobs and/or can’t afford GrindrXtra. There are so many fake profiles out there that the expiring picture feature should be for everyone not just for Xtra. It’s a great feature and it prevents others from using your pictures which is in reality a violation of ones privacy. Please make the expiring picture for all.
