Logged into check a message logged back ouut to long back in after a while & I was banned & then you banned my iPhone from making another Grindr account how does one app posses so much power over ones phone is beyond me & I want this fixed ASAP ! This isn’t right to just banned with ouut proper explanation!

I was banned for no reason too and I totally agree it’s a huge invasion of privacy they shouldn’t be allowed to have our device ids!

If you are going to BAN someone’s account you could at least provide some explanation and better yet EVIDENCE as to why the account was BANNED. Just simply banning a customer is straight up poor customer service. I can come up with a few ideas in my head as to why I was banned, but it would still be nice to know why.

You ban people’s accounts and give no reason but you keep the moneys for the subscription and won’t refund Luckily Apple have refunded my subscription cost I hope many innocent people like me no longer use your app as your subscription services is fraud

I have heard that Grindr began banning accounts from someone I personally know who worked at Grindr. The banned my account because I supposedly was discussing the use of drugs. Also that I was soliciting prostitution and promoting violence. When I read that Immediately wrote an email to help/cust. serv and asked them for proof that I did these things. I received a reply saying that I violated Customer Guidelines and nothing else. I again wrote to them specifically to show me proof because I did no such thing. There were a total of 8 emails demanding proof. To this day, nothing. I’ve been advised that a complete ban will not be lifted. What do I do?

After 2 weeks the profile o reported (with photos not following your guidelines) are still public in app!

I was banned and no one could tell me why except that I didn’t comply with their TOS. I asked for more information and they wouldn’t say anything. I hadn’t even logged on in a few days, so not sure what I did. Didn’t get any kind of notification either. Asked about an appeal or how long ban would be and no real response or reason was given. Glad I didn’t pay for a yearly subscription.

These guys mass message everyone then go back and try to chat will even send nudes, but want one thing. To sell massages, through a fake website!! My idea is Grindr filter new accounts a little better

You are back to the old ways of banning The IMEI number. Your support calls and complaints are going to skyrocket.

You allow so much spam and fake profiles who do not even pay for your service. I cannot even block and report them fast enough. You have dudes on your app charging for their services it is ridiculous and you allow this.

You will lose a lot of paying customers.

I have been asking and asking for the circumstances for my account being suspended. That was last week, and I have yet to hear back from anyone? Is this standard practice to suspended w/o stating a reason whatsoever? To my knowledge, I've violated no community rules, but I can't get a response from any defending the suspension.

Are you sure they aren't just creating a new profile? That's happened to me before. I've blocked someone and the next day they're back. I look in the blocked list and it's there still which means they created a new profile.

I see a lot of photos against the guidelines, I have reported and I still waiting moderation from 2 weeks, photo are still on app. But my full dressed photo was removed for Nudity??? Support newer answer. Do we want to treat everyone in the same way?

In what legal world does banning a device, not an email but a device ID legal? When people erase the app and expect their details to be removed, in this case they are not. To keep record of the device ID is to go against the ability for people to have their data erased by choice.

On the topic of banning, there are many vindictive accounts on this app who for receiving rejection will submit a complaint. Yet this app has no issue with spammers, escorts, minors, or those trying desperately to get you to converse off the app.. Or what about the sex shaming, fat discrimination, racial discrimination that occurs ? Maybe ban certain words app wide like racial slurs.. What kind of system is this?

I suggest releasing your Device ID ban and beefing up your verification systems. You cannot be banning paying long standing accounts, or new accounts, etc becuase of an misunderstanding or indiscretion.

Bullying is bad, *** shaming is bad, but impersonation? This app is for communicating, it's not a *** guarantee or given. How are impersonated accounts any worse than blank profiles.. Most of the time people are only in it for the chat or the pics and then boom.. blocked or no response. No one owes anyone anything on this app. It's solely for communication and anything more is up to the individuals themselves.. There are legitimate accounts that lead others on or take advantage of others without the mask of a fake picture yet they remain unscathed.

Treat your clients with respect who have built up the company to the juggernaut it is. Hire new customer service teams, perhaps remotely due to Covid that can work through these requests.. Maybe do an OKcupid and allow certain accounts to play moderator and assist in the process of policing accounts prior to any corporate decisions.

Unban the Device ID's.. It's ludicrous that people are being punished then Stonewalled for their device's eternity over what amounts to broken feelings.

Exactly what happened to me! First they banned me for Impersonating which is absurd, I disputed and sent a picture with my email as instructed. Got lifted, and a few hours later, got banned again and this time saying my account was involved in Spamming Activity. I disputed and asked for details why but all they can do is a templatised answer and why they can’t give more details and my account will still be banned along with my subscription. I will be filing a dispute to my bank!

They are so quick to ban an account without verification first both on the reported account and reporting account. This is just Power Tripping on a whole new level!

Same issue here! My 2 accounts both have xtra subscriptions got banned. I’m pretty sure some power tripping customer service diva in Grnder is involve in this. I’m pretty sure when he sees this comment, this will get deleted!

It’s so easy to report a profile and Grnder is so quick to ban and terminate a profile without verifying with the said account if the report is legit or just some salty revenge.

I feel that the Divas at the Grnder Customer Service are quick to ban if you are average looking which is a double standard in itself isn’t it?

They keep on saying they uphold transparency but they can’t give you a detailed reason why they banned your account. For them, their the Divas and you are just living in their world.
