I’ve been reporting spam messages, but everyday the same message from another “user” appears again ... trying to phish for some pornsite. It’s dazzling ... Why can’t you get a hold of it?!

I keep getting spam messages to visit one particular website and its pissing me off.
"hi if yоu wannа fuсk gо tо GayFun.org"
I'd like to see it make possible to stop spam through such a system

everytime i open grindr there are 5-10 new spam messages who link to external erotic/agency sites.
im shre that are robots because they arrive everytime i log in after 3min.
i think a very clear inice of robots - or grindr himself is this.
shut down robots - that is technically possible to do -

It will simply be that you're not their type, they don't want to meet you and so don't want to disclose their identity. It's probably more that they're not into you than that they're stealing your pics.

I've noticed that they now collect your IMEI number of MAC address in order to verify if you have previously had a free trial. Even if you use a new install on a new Google account with a new PayPal address, you can't get a free trial, even if they offer you one, if you've already had one on that device previously, even after a factory reset, so they're definitely storing our device data.

I think part of the issue is that many “giant” phone apps are run by a surprisingly small crew. So tailoring personalized feedback would be very expensive if that had to comment on every single case.

If Grindr could just please stop with all the Spam they send redirecting to other sites. Easy to figure out: cant see a profile of the made up person being used to send Spam redirecting users to other sites. Almost as bad as the excessive ads

+1 I'm getting exactly the same spam message promoting gayfun.org many times a week. Each time I mark it as spam and block the user, what is really annoying. It should not be very difficult to filter for urls.

You make zero effort to squelch obvious spam. I’ve worked in mobile app development and there’s zero excuse for your system to not be able to spot bot-generated endlessly repeating msgs like the ones I get every single day:
Hello if уou wаnna fuck gо to GayFun.org
The fact you don’t indicates you are unwilling to make even a token effort.

There are only 5 times per day where you can send screenshot blocked photos even though I pay monthly for Xtra. I think that's a bit unfair -- here I am paying $16 per month or almost $200/ year and I have to worry about having my photos being screenshot and shared across platforms. This should be something everyone should be able to have in my opinion. Putting it behind a paywall and only offering it to Grindr Unlimited subscribers is elitist and ensures that if you can't afford Unlimited prices then your private photos will be shared.

Same here. I don’t feel comfortable. They can see my profile too and chat with me.

To Anonymous December 12, 6:32 AM. Appreciate the advice to update the app. However, if you had read a bit more carefully, you would know I have reinstalled the app (multiple times actually). Presumably, the fresh download from the App Store is updated. Reinstall did not help. Problem still exists.

Todos os dias recebo várias mensagens spam do GayFun.org solicitando a consulta daquele site. O pior é que não é possível aceder ao perfil do remetente e, assim, reportar mensagem spam. É uma situação muito aborrecida.
