Nothing wrong with no pic. This is 2019 and the internet is riddled with scammers, stalkers and catfishers so those idiots with their obsessive NPNC mantra should appreciate that while there comes a point where a pic may be essential it is not needed in the opening messages where you just check that you are otherwise compatible.
From my experience of actually talking first I have found the faceless people eventually to be drop dead gorgeous because, quite understandably, they have found no pic to be a very useful tool to establish their being appreciated for other than superficial reasons by those who won't take no for an answer after seeing their pic.

One profile per phone number? Fine in theory but ,ost people have multiple phones and phone numbers now.
Regarding escorts the tide is to strong to turn back so go with the flow and make it ok provided they identify themselves as such on their profiles.... why?
Because I for one am fed up with people messaging me, chatting me up for ages then out opf the blue asking for money at the point of arranging a meet.

Good day
I have found that someone on this site is impersonating me and sending my pictures to others. I'd like to report this and have this person exposed as I'm not gay neither do I have a account with yourl.

Stop falsely accusing people of going outside your guidelines and policies. I didn't do anything and you guys banded my account. I am not happy about this!

There is a huge use in Chile as a drug traffic site. Is it possible to sell from marihuana, xtasis, to cocaine. Is a really shame since at least 1/2 of the profiles closet to you buy or sell drugs.

Yeah right, like anyone would use the app if you had to force a photo.

this is kind of brilliant, but maybe its not a 'ban' per-say, just some sort of icon embedded on their profile

A verification system isn't needed. If you're questioning someone's identity...
1. Tell them to take a live photo with a shoe on their head or to do something that isn't common!
2. Snapchat/Facetime/Skype/etc.
Have them prove their identity to you. If they're unwilling to do that block them. Stop wasting your time talking to fakes.

All of the illegal immigrants in the USA would cry if they put in a verification system as they would no longer be able to use Grindr for prostitution/drugs/trafficking/etc.

I like this idea. Or at least make it optional so if you do verify it will say so on your profile. I get hit up by young guys that I'd def be down for but I'm too afraid to answer because of the risk they're lying.

Please do better on your security. There have been too many spam profiles. And people that try to act like sugar daddies just to take peoples money. It’s honestly getting annoying and I’m about to delete grindr. My request is to please figure out a way weed out all of the fake profiles. Thank you.

This is much more serious than merely offending someone. I had a very disturbing experience. As a writer, I am known in my country and especially in my city. After sending a picture of myself to a guy, he recognized me. He then told me that he was going to write an article in his blog about my presence on Grindr and show the world what I was up to. The tone of his message was very hostile.
Now, I am not worried about people knowing I was on Grindr (I wrote a television episode about the app), but what if this happened to an 18 year old in a conservative family who was not out of the closet yet? The trauma of such an experience may lead to serious psychological damage or even suicide.
So yes, for the sake of cyberbullies who abuse their anonymity and Grindr to harm others, it is essential to be able to report these users.

In my country there are a lot of people selling drugs, we cannot do anything because Grindr spents a lot of time to accept our complaints
Please do something -

I seriously and honesty really think that they should definitely require that you show a state id or drivers license and that will stop everything on grindr

This would be probably the best thing Grindr should follow. The amount of "fake" accounts, underage accounts and people catfishing is absolutely ridiculous! This also happens on other platforms, but verification would definitely be good.
