The amount of spammers/scammers has EXPLODED and become unbearable.

It would be great if Grindr engineers used some ML (machine learning) models to preemptively flag potential spammers/scammers and then ban/remove accounts when only 1-2 users report them as spam, instead of the current system of what seems like "manual verification" and probably wait for "enough" users to report a profile.

lets people create multiple profiles. so if you block someone , they just create a new profile and or pretend to be someone different, logging out of app and signing into another profile. mostly older pretending to be someone younger to catfish needs verified users alO because amount fake profiles is ridiculous
this app isnt that popular if weed out the fake profiles.
i keep blocking but sooner or later they all keep reappearing on my grindr search to many just close account and open it again or using different mobile numbers i wouldnt waste my money paying for this app no point

We keep on reporting spams. Improving the protection against spams is key. To date up to 10 messages a day..... Please do something

I get tons of spam text only after giving my phone number on your site. Your lies you sell people's numbers or this shit wouldn't happen. Plus it doesn't stop spam on your site. There are a ton of fake profiles on your site. Stop demanding personal information to sell that's a violation of my rights and punishable by law

Allow to contact another member after 2 min from the last chat.
Example: i can send a pm to a user.
I can do it.
But i will be able to contact another member only after 2 min from the last txt ive sent. In this way you can delay spam. U can also allow few certified users (someone that reports spam very often in the good way 4 ex.) allowing to directly ban the spammer

Okay, I am on Grindr all the time - sometimes just to look at the hot pics. I seem to come across so many masseurs that, when contacted, will list "very reasonable" services as long as I connect to an outside website to book an appointment. Look, I didn't just fall off of the turnip truck yesterday and I know that this is a SCAM, but how many people are not falling for this. Once you touch that link, it allows the other end to access your phone information. I think that GRINDR should put a notice out there with an example, and tell people not to fall for it and to report it !

I'm sick & tired of the prostitutes & rentboys taking over Grindr. So much wasted time -- chat for 10 minutes, swap pics then they say "I'm on here working" or "I meet for $250/hour". It is becoming ridiculous!

So please create a prostitute/rentboy "Tribe" that they can all identify with, and then the rest of us can filter them out.

Add blocking known words or phrases that have been associated with spam that way they can't create a new account and spam more

First messages with a URL block the message

As of right now, beginning of June 21, the app has become completely overrun by fake profiles. It has become virtually useless. The geographical user scroll is now at any time I estimate to be 60-70% fake profiles. It's pathetic. There was a major flood of them going into the holiday weekend. I actually happened to be up late one night and watched it unfold. Makes it so you actually see hardly any real users. There are many ways they could prevent their entry, they just don't. So here's the solution.
Under report profile, add an option for fake profile. If a profile is getting reported, they can send a lockout message for this user, when they go to log on, they'll have to verify before they can continue using the app. If it's a fake and they can't? All gone!!!

Getting fed up of spam messages I pay for the premium service and don't expect this I believe that they sent via Grindr to gain as an extra revenue stream or there is a serious loop hole in the system that is allowing a third parties to mass message members

Please develop separate rooms for people who I want and other people that are looking for the things I want. Say I'm looking for 30-50 white only no drugs single not a cheating married man and with other traits that I want. And only gender ones that I will like only see profiles similar to mine. I'm not interested in child molestation so I don't want to be constantly messaged daddy please fuck me. No They should not be allowed to view my profile we're not compatible. You can still have options to be placed in a general room with every Tom dick and Mary Sue. I'm tired of the prostitute and drugs banging on my message board and asking nonsense questions

They could at least filter the messages just containing a website

Let us set up words and sentences, if these get send to us, we don't receive them.
Example; the website spammers.

Words to block; <Boyz.xyz> <FuckAvenue.com> <OnlyGuys.com> <want to earn> <I'm having a party >...

If someone sends a message with this websites or words in them, we don't get the message.

It's awfully a lot of spams. In inbox I block and report but nothing happens. Is it supported by grinder?. It's horrible that you support hookersites and pornsites.

Us consumers can use it not mandatory but let’s say you are meeting up you each can scan a QR code on each other’s phone which will verify that is the person You were chatting with. This is done without sharing any personal information, (unless you want to share) and Yoti uses better encryption methods than your own bank does. It’s a no brainer.
