Allow users to turn off photo sharing so that we can choose not to receive any photos (specifically **** pics). The "accepts NSFW pics never" option has done nothing to reduce the number of unwanted penises appearing in my inbox.

I'm in complete agreement. Between fake accts and scammers, I have trouble finding folks.

Although other apps like Snapchat and instagram can be used to verify if someone on Grindr is real, it is inconvenient and unrealistic because not everyone on Grindr uses the same social media apps; therefore a verification system should be implemented into Grindr to verify if someone is who they say they are.
This system would be fairly easy to implement since many other apps do the same thing. All this would require is that the user has a least one picture of their face on their profile. The next step would be taking a “verification” face picture, possibly doing a certain action, and have that verification picture be matched with the face picture in the user’s profile. Furthermore, to prevent cat phishing, users would not be allowed to upload a verification picture, instead users would only have the option to submit a verification picture by taking one with the camera. This would be a preventative measure against cat phishing allowing the users of Grindr to stay safe.
Although many discrete members of Grindr would not appreciate verification photos as it would require them to have a face picture on their profile. Making verification photos optional would allow those members to keep enjoying Grindr how they want to.
In summary, this kind of verification process would allow everyone to stay safe, and keep grindr on the cutting edge of LGBT dating apps.

The reason why I didn’t renew my contract with you for the whole year is because all these uncontrollable fake profiles and escorts that contact you. They are a couple of hundreds meters from you then when you say no all of a sudden they are several hundreds of kms. Stop that. If you are an escort then use a different frame color of frame or something

Hello pablo could you imagine how many people would not use drugs if Grindr was not around!
wow i could not imagine! everyone would become a church going person. Sounds like chile has a drug problem because of your corrupt government and lack of social economic standing. Maybe you should consider finding a new community if you cannot use the block button. I block people all the time! it is very useful! Now if the druggies are still after you after you block than i think you have a real argument! -

Apple Watch is becoming more iPhone independent. It would be convenient and discreet to be able to communicate at work or in situations where you can't use your iPhone.

Can you ensure that you can take very good quality photos and put them as pf or in Chats on Grindr, just like the quality of the photos from whatsapp. Because the quality of the photos on the app compared to the app whatsapp, the photos are quite low in clarity and not sharp.
Can you improve the quality of the photos in the ap Grindr? (that the photos are very sharp)

I believe that Grindr likes spam cause it makes you have to pay so you can block the amount that they let in. I literally have hundreds of blocks due to spam

Hi. I'm a huge fan of the app. I use it everyday. I'm from Chile. But the "people looking for drugs" Situation in the app Is OUT OF CONTROL. Now there's more straight people looking for drugs than gays (or any other) having fun. PLEASE take this in mind and start choosing moderator from each country/city. I don't know where else send you this. I really hope you read it. As a fan of the app I'm heart broken of what Grindr has become.

Have an album that you can easily grant access to other users and also (later) take that access away so you don’t need to block users who may have photos that you no longer want to share. This is available on a lot of other platforms.

So I am a trans woman and I keep having pictures where I am covering my breasts but they are sexy being not approved. They keep saying my pics are too sexually explicit even though men can be basically in a thong showing everything and naked and Have their pics approved. So I am thinking... Why not just have a nipple Ok app. Whether or not the person is male or female presenting. Becuase currently there is definatley a massive equality gap.
My rant:
I tried to post a pic of me in this cute cut out fringe bralette with both h myhands covering my breasts and nothing was showing and it wasn't approved. I took a different pic in the same outfit and blurred out my entire breast and it still wasn't approved. Like I have posted these same pics on instagram with no issue. So why can a guy pose in his underwear showing off far more skin and I can post a pic of me covering me boobs with my hands? Either you have a moderator with a vendetta against trans women or your policy Needs to be updated.Feel free to email me and I will send you the pics in questions as well a pictures of approved much more sexuality explicit photos from other profiles so you can see how rediculous this is.

I was contacted by 3 different fake profiles from people claiming to be in the US Army currently service on "peacekeeping missions in Kabul, Afghanistan." I suspect they are targeting gay profiles on Grindr. PLEASE get this stopped.

User uploads a standard face pic to their profile, then must verify that by taking a picture holding up a randomly displayed hand gesture, for example two fingers, where that picture is used by moderators to verify profile.

How do you roll out this ridiculous, overpriced Unlimited garbage when you still haven't figured out how to stop ALL the spam and fakes, nor have verified account creation. You shouldn't just be sold as a company, you should be disbanded. Get it together.

The bottom line is...... a phone number should be required to start a profile and all existing profiles should be required to confirm their identity with a phone number or have their account suspended until they do so

This is a problem on the internet as a whole but I'm against this as a solution. Service should simply Force the user to show their age if they are 18 nothing more nothing less. That way the responsibility at least falls on the "victim" who knew exactly what they were doing
I'm sorry but as it stands right now nothing else will help until there's some kind of universal internet ID system and that's a little too big brotherish for me including other organizations like the Electronic Frontier Foundation not to mention the tons of Commerce that wants advertising access to the under-18 demographic
That's not to say you can't pass something like that for use on your own service. There's no minor this going to say okay you need to send in a photo ID which they probably don't have and a birth certificate or other forms of paper identification such as utility bills so on and so forth the type of things that Banks ask for it to open a bank account it would be an administrative nightmare and no one would ever use it. Nor should they you're talking about allowing minors onto an anonymous *** service or even creating their separate platform for minors to find other minors to have ***. This just isn't feasible especially when you can have adults that are knowledgeable enough to check the system send in the paperwork and allow themselves into a network with free rein to minors.
Your other option is to allow this for everyone just like a bank does and that's going to be an administrative nightmare and second every cent that the site actually makes.
I'm sorry but minors are just going to lie about their age. just make it crystal clear that everybody on the site is assumed to be 18 or older turning off the age feature was a bad idea.
Besides technically you're already required to be 18 to join the site nobody reads that stuff so it should still be required to be shown on the profile.
Sorry but for right now there's no other feasible or economical options to deal with this I wish there was but it just isn't going to happen in the current climate

Apply the rules to EVERYONE. Why are some users allowed to display underwear photos and sexually suggestive photos but others are not? The Moderation is HORRENDOUS for this app. It’s very discouraging and creates very frustrating experience for users.
