Also give us an option to report Repeat Profiles. In my area there are a few creeps that make new profiles a few times a week, why should I have to continually block them? One account per device, with verified email, it's not that hard.

Almost 12k votes and still not under review, what a surprise. They're still owned by the company run by a guy that believes marriage is only between a man and woman. It's overrun with spam bots, cat fish, underage, prostitutes, and druggies.
Cancel your subs and use other platforms.

Hi! I very much agree with this idea. I had an incident on grindr the other day that made me think of something very similar. My idea would include verifying a person's photo ID. It would be optional but would include some way of knowing whether another profile has been verified.

This app has turned into nothing but a fake profile app... I get dozens of these a day, literally. They all have several things in common.
There are about 5 different men that a photo of will be attached to the profile.
They almost always have either an animal pictured with them, or they have some military picture.
They tap you
They start off with Hello Handsome, or some ridiculously worded phrase about how a hello comes not from the lips, but from the heart.
They are almost always 32-35 years old, no matter if the photo looks 18 or 60
They are almost always around 200 miles away, no matter where you are. I travel all over the world, and the same few profile pictures are always 200 miles from me no matter what state or country I am in.
The messages sometimes show up as sent from iExplore or something to that effect.
They have a heart emoji, LTR, or something similar in their profile name.
They are always looking for an LTR
No amount of blocking or reporting the profiles as any category will stop them. I've blocked as many as 2 dozen of the same profile photo in a single day, and new ones then magically appear again.I actually believe that these profiles are created and perpetrated by Grindr itself, to try to puff up their numbers. I was planning on cancelling my subscription, but got distracted by life and it got through for another 3 months. Fine, take my $29.99. I don't know who the **** would pay $79.99 for 3 months of harassment by fake profiles, but I guarantee you the it isn't being paid by any of the dozens of fake profiles I block per day.

I agree I have been banned for a week and no explanation as to why. I have been a long long time member with no problems before this. I want an explanation!

No where close to 90% of profiles are fake. I don't use any social media, does that mean I shouldn't have this app either?

Es increible la forma como crean perfiles falsos unos por aburridps pero otros con malicia para averiguar muchas cosas de los demas

The block button is not designed for that case.I don't want to block .I just want to see his face like he saw mine before he started chatting.Don't understand why its not common sense.
Good idea!! -

Yes it is correct . I would add more.
I have tried myself to verify.
As part of the policies , services are not allowed, i have repeatly reported profiles , wbich encourages to take drugs, sellers, money boys, and those you can see his **** through the clothes,
My pics get banned everytime and i swear i dont show anything.
I believe this grindr team do nothing amd they let them be, because that way, many of us will end up paying the extra ti get rid of those prifiles.Well i made them favourite , still one qeek and no blocked , none of them.
Im out grindr.you guys want my money, dosomething usefull , not just tale us for idiots.Done with subcription. Go ask those to pay the extra app.

Personal Picture required before message is accepted/received
Blank profiles waste time, are often fakes, and ruin the Grindr experience.
Many users state NPNC or similar. Let these users take back their time and positive experience by choosing to prevent users that have gone through no effort from contacting them until they put in a bit of effort. -

you will probably get banned for it. Thats what happened to me

Every profile should be required to have either a new selfie of face as a permanent profile picture, then they can have as many pics of whatever they want. I'm tired of faceless profile pics. Or the other option is. If they don't have any face pics they can't have full access of profiles. This is getting ridiculous how many empty and faceless profiles are on here.

I have had Grindr for many years and never upset anyone I talked with cause of my work schedule I never had enough time. I really like my Grindr account and I ask ask for forgiveness of what ever I did so I can fix this transgression and be able to sign back into my account. Thank you for your time in helping me out.

Just require a profile pic, but allow it to be a headless picture for the DL guys.
I am DL, but I don't feel the need to hide on here. I don't think anyone so famous uses this app they really need to worry about someone recognizing them.
It already is easy enough if you don't want to send a pic on request.
What would be convenient is to have explicit pictures we can unlock on request instead of sending every time. -

Require distance to be shown for all users will help identify some bots.
Require age, weight and height to be shown for all users to reduce the bots random picture with wrong age or body size. (Remove the feature to hide age).
Since a lot of the bots use the same description, automatically flag any account that has the same exact description as multiple other accounts.
Require at least 2 face and 1 full body photos for all new profiles, and add feature to hide or display any face photo, but require the full body photo to show. -

**3 tips for spotting bots:**
1) The BOTS almost always are recently joined profiles that 99% of the time will tap you with the 😈 emoji. Also with mismatched heights/weights or profile descriptions that don’t sound like a real person would’ve written.Second if you tap back they’ll auto respond with lines like “well look at that, someone who actually responds to taps!”
How do these bots keep targeting / finding our profiles with their newly created accounts?
Tip 3) the bots last online = time they tapped you. “Last online 4 hours ago. Tapped you 4 hours ago”. They only stay online once for the mass taps, then move onto the next fake account
