Make the Discreet App Icon free for the safety of some gay people. Thank you

Please make discreet icon function to be able to use for basic members especially for those from a country that criminalized **********.

Please activate again the option for discreet app icon for free.
I used to have it, but now it's gone (you have to be Grindr extra member to have it)
As a lot of the gay community, I am in the closet, and the discreet app icon has helped me a lot to keep my privacy.
I assure you that many of us , users that are in the closet, will be forced to delete the app if you don't give back the option.

It worked fine for me before the upgrade!
Now resets every logout.

Grindr's notoriety will surely become it's down fall.
It's hardly discrete any more and with a discrete option at premium rate I think it's time to hit the uninstall button.
Gap in the market for a real discrete platform that protects it's users.

The discreet app icon needs to be free to everyone. Some of us would like to be able to talk to other gay men without having to expose ourselves. I’ll come out when I’m ready, until then I’d still like to talk to people...

I agree. Also the ability to change the chatballoon colours.

I feel like grindr is so easily recognizable because I dont know any other app thats dark with yellow/orange and blue chatballoons.

Yeah, it's a bit sad they offer this as a "safety" feature but hold that feature ******* for money. If it was about safety, it should be free.

It's quite pathetic of the team to present itself as being at the forefront of gay issues... and then lock features ensuring people can find intimacy without, oh I don't know, being assaulted, behind a subscription.

A required feature for all versions including free. Literally, could save a life!!!

I actually have the option to change the app icon; and I am not a premium member. It just rolled out in the last update. Go to “settings” in the app; and it should be under “discrete app icon”

Just rename the app and change the icon by yourself...you don't need to have xtra. Download nova launcher app for android...idk for iPhone

I agree, the thought behind making it a paid option puzzled me from the beginning. How can you “help” people being more discreet when you force them to have grindr on their credit card or bank statement 🤷🏽‍♂️

Not just premium should have discreet icon. Discretion is very very important

Some of us would forget what the renamed application/icon looks like. Downvote from me.

Some people are discreet and it should be respected therefore allow changing the ICON with any image.
