Hello,
I think you are missing out on a big community of people. The chub and chaser community. I know their are other apps out there but if you could just add chub and chaser to the tribes section you may get a lot more people interested in the app that are from the chub/chaser community. On occasion (as a chubby guy) I get lucky and find a guy who is into chubby guys. But a majority of the time I’m not so lucky. I see you added Bear and that is great but how do you find the people who are into bears and into chubby guys. This should just be an easy addition to the Tribes section. You could even make an announcement to the lgbt community and see how many new/returning clients you could get. I know I have left and come back to Grindr at least 7 times in my lifetime just from being tired of all the hate I would receive. (Recently I haven’t but in the beginning I did.) Please consider the addition of Chub and Chaser to the Tribes section of your app.
Thank you for your time.

YES. Grindr is the most used gay dating/hook up app out there. I hate how non inclusive they are for big guys. They open the door to trans which is good, they removed the ethnicity search feature which is whatever. But nothing for bigger people. Really shows how they view us

The fact that this suggestion was posted 5 years ago and has been ignored this whole time shows that Grindr has absolute disregard for anyone that does not fit their definition of "physically attractive". They are taking a very Abercrombie&Fitch approach to their business model, making it not only not user friendly for people they don't want, but downright uninviting. They do not do anything about the discrimination against fat people because they themselves discriminate against fat people. This forum is here to appease users into thinking their voice will be heard. I've been on the app since almost the beginning, and nothing has changed. Nothing will change, because they don't want use here. They don't think we deserve the same rights afforded to the young and fit that the majority come to the app to find.

I completely agree also wanting these tribes. You place Trans as an option, if You ask a transfer person or transfer Chaser if they consider themselves gay, and for the most part they Don't, nor should they. They are part of our LGBTQAI+ community, but Gay men they are not. Now ask a Chub and chub Chaser are they Gay men. Now Grindr ask Yourself why are transfer getting a tribe which makes it a more welcoming reason for them to stay or become members, but for overweight Gay men, this is not an oversight especially since after BLM caused You and other sites to become overly sensitive so there is less discrimination when they are preferences, so are tribes. To overlook for 12 years chubs and chasers, it just seems if a "tribe" or group isn't getting any negative attention politically or on our news stations then Grindr just does not address it. Grindr has added personal pronouns, health info with Covid 19 and Monkey pox and added fill in sections on our profiles with all of this. Shows Grindr is always evolving. CHUBBY CHASING fetish/tribe/group or however you want to classify it has been around as long as all the others. The difference is we are the most under represented, grindr is evidence with never having it as an option. Believe, You, Me, the Trans community has no under representation across the web regarding dating, sex, personal ads, and sex work ads. They have so many options, but Grindr decided ($) for some reason to make sure they have the Trans represented. I have no qualms they are. I have a qualm where they are but we never were, and with all of Grindr's constant changes and way over priced options that Chubs STILL aren't here. PS hashtags to have chub is able to be added on profile but not chub Chaser, anr no tribe option. Grindr there is no reason why you have never had it on your app and no reason moving forward why it isn't on your app, especially now that you are on the stock market exchange

I think sugar daddy and sugar boy relationships should be listen on there . It’s not prostitution or solicitation. It’s a kink that people have . Like the sub/dom community. Some guys (myself included prefer men who have extra cash to throw around and we BOTH go on vacation together) not one partner saying go with your friends I’ll be fine (because they can’t afford it themselves) or the partner staying home because the other one cannot afford to tag along for the trip . And there are many relationships like it. And the kink is the validation of giving and receiving. Like I mowed the lawn cleaned the house did the laundry . He’s doing nothing because after he knows he’s going to surprise me and take me shopping for an out fit to go out to dinner that night. It’s very much a different branch of sub/dom itself ! IT’S not what people think it is . We comfort each other. They mentor us younger ones and teach us how to make it big in the world, they invest in our furthers and love is unconditional. It’s not sex for money. But when u been together a year sex is involved . Hell most people just use Grindr as a place to find someone close to have sex with . Some of us use it as a real dating app. I’m personally sexually attracted to men who are much older than me . But how do I know if they would like me or not? Sugar is Sweet (the love the knowledge the companionship the finally stability and sexual and emotional love & support) and statistical gay men who are in these relationships stay together and monogamous their entire time on this earth. Because we look up to our daddy’s. (It’s not just loosing money or sex or a shag) to most of us it’s loosing our lover , our best friend , our mentor, our advisor , our father figure that many of us didn’t have, their son figure that they never had . It’s much deeper than you think . Do research on it. You’ll see that I’m right :) thanks for listening and considering. Because that’s ultimately what I’m looking for . All of those things into one beautiful soul !

I'm wishing "moto" or "biker" gets added as a tag or tribe. There are plenty of motorcyclists who not only ride to commute but also ride to vibe. Riding is a great way make friends, cruise around town and perhaps sharing that life style with that special someone you met through the app. I'd love to meet other bikers who are also lgbt+ but sadly there aren't many platforms that show support let alone for the motorcycle community. Same thing goes for car enthusiasts! Just an idea I believe could make a great addition.

I believe grinder should include "Effem / Femininity" in the Tribe classifications. Isn't that a bad idea?

Under tribes, there should be a curious tribe for those of us that are just now venturing out.

I would like "tribes" to be reworded or defined. I thought tribes was what you category yourself into. Lots of people are not using it for that, they are using it for what they are into. So I'm getting a lot of old and large hairy men in the Twink and Clean Cut tribes. It's super confusing what tribes is supposed to be used for.

You should be able to show yourself to your tribe only. Anyone not in your tribe won't see your profile.

I’m a bear but I'm not into bears. I'm into jocks.
It would be cool if there were two tribe options. The tribe you’re in and the tribe you’re looking for. So it would also be easier for me to find guys that are jocks but into bears. -

It's disappointing that the stigma still exist. Please add a poz friendly option to tribes. And Grindr needs more educational info around what U=U means.
Also, people who use the phrase "be clean" don't realize how offensive and hurtful this is. Grindr has a pretty big platform, that platform should be used to change that stigma. I understand that people will still have their preferences and they have that right. I believe that more educational info and the added filter will encourage more people to be familiar with what it means to be undetectable poz and provide a more user friendly experience. -

I will continue to find this app discriminatory until it adds a chub and chaser tag /tribe. It's clear many folk have been asking for this for years. And when I can see a tag for things like 'sober' and 'tentacles' but not for 'chaser', it's pretty clear that chubby guys and their admirers are being discriminated against. Come on, we know the gay community generally has an issue with fat people but no need to perpetuate the discrimination by not helping ALL shapes and sizes find a match and happiness. Seriously disappointed that grindr haven't righted this wrong. There's been multiple app updates and yet it still doesn't appear. I can conclude nothing other than blatant discrimination.

Discrimination. Pure and simple. You can tag yourself as 'tentacles' (wtf!) but not that you're a chub or chaser? Messed up app. I'm sick of asking for this to be added and leaving until they sort this discrimination by omission out.

Add chaser as a tribe so people can label themselves and be more easily matched

Hi guys,
Love your app …. and use it also !
only a profile setting is not clear and led in my case already to misunderstandings (I am 57 yo Daddy offering services to 20-40 young men)
“Daddy” label …
If a 35 year old uses the label daddy as tribe …
does it mean he is daddy and looks for younger boys to be their daddy ?
or
does he looks for a more mature Daddy to be his boy ? (my search)It would be so much more handy if the tribes states clearly
the active “wannabe” approach (searching as in my first part of my comparison
or the passive “wannahave” approach (offering / as in my 2nd part)
I guess thus is for mist tribes the case / twink … being a twink or searching fir a twink
a simply wannabe or wannahave would make it more clearThanks guys

There should be more options in the "tribe" feature such as artistic, spiritual, eccentric, and any more of the various personalities that exists within our community

In your profile there is a place for 'Looking for', 'Meet at' and 'accept NSFW pics'. I think there should also be a tribe choices for what your looking for, like l: 'Looking for tribe...' where other people can see what you are looking for. That way there is a bit more chance to find your "type".
