Being able to sync Grindr messages to iCloud so if you delete the app, and re-download it after a week or months, your history comes back. Would be nice to have existing chat history with a hottie I may have missed out on when I met someone else that didn’t work out. LOL.

While I understand chat logs are device specific, an option would be to have an export feature and allow chats to be imported into the new device. WhatsApp has a similar feature.

Yeah, I agreed with the “cloud” comments.

I believe that all Grindr users can agree upon, that when signing into your account on a device you have not used (or maybe you have, and you re-downloaded the app after deleting it from your phone); that all previous chats are completely deleted, then you have guys asking why you need them to send pictures “again,” when you two have already exchanged and chatted before but there is nothing to restore the “backed up” conversation.

Some sort of cloud backup would be nice, even if it were in the same manner that whatsapp makes use of iCloud. Other apps like scruff and tinder manage to store messages in the cloud making them persistent across devices.

If you backup your iphone it does not happen Just did it and all chats restored. Dont store my chats on your servers. Offer help for the technically challenged instead.

Please this, if everything else is stored in your servers how is this not?

Criar a possibilidade de salvar as mensagens, como uma espécie de backup. Para quando o usuário reinstale o app as mensagens ainda estejam lá. Acontece frequentemente de pessoas trocarem o smartphone, com isso tem de reinstalar o app, mas quando instalam novamente o histórico de mensagens não existe, tem de começar tudo de novo, as vezes acabamos perdendo contato com algum match. Seria legal poder voltar ao app e as conversas ainda estarem lá

People should be able to preserve their own communication without having to pay you! Your system of preventing it is perverse! Your demand that it can be saved or exported only in the paid account is similar to you holding someone’s private communication ******* for money!

Backup the chat history and photos... All the data to our email in cas we removed the account and later on decided to re-install it...

You shouldn’t have to request this feature!

Allow Grindr data to be backed up to iCloud

Retain chats across platforms and application installations. Synch to server backup in cloud in case of losing phone, or deleting app(ie bricked or reset phone). Include user ability to delete conversations or opt out of sync/backup process if desired.

It is ridiculous that this feature does not exist yet! There should be a way to upload the messages on place and move them over even if they're not routinely stored on your server.
