Send Screenshot-Restricted Photos

The app should deny the option of doing screenshots, lot of people post his face and personal information, also nudes and other things, and some users make a wrong use of that, steeling profiles and using the photos for extortion and abuse, for safety you should block the screenshots

I screenshot maps or addresses so I can access them easily, rather than scroll back up through the whole conversation to find their address. Taking screenshots can be useful from a safety perspective, or in the case of fake/stolen pics if you spot them. There are heaps of ways around this anyway as others have pointed out, I don't think it is worth developer's time

Or just block screenshots on the application similar to the case of banking applications. That is really very urgent to make the app more safe and have less fake users collecting pictures.

This will create far more problems than it solves. Keeping copies of messages and pics of people you're going to meet can be a useful precaution in all sorts of ways - either if the person isn't who they claim to be, or if they turn out to be dangerous.
Also there are ways round it anyway. Client-side security features are rarely watertight.
If you don't want unknown strangers to see your messages and pics, then don't send them on Grindr.

Banning screenshots is a really bad idea.
It's hard to do well with the iOS and Android APIs (this changes with OS version, but generally has been hard to impossible) and there are ways round it. Intercepting the https response via MTM or, more crudely, taking a photo of the screen with a camera.Notifications of screenshots is, in iOS at least, really easy. But is it worth it? Tons of extra notifications. Urgh!

I would like to suggest something. Can you add to the privacy policy to prevent the screenshots to make this app more safe and private to us please. Thanks.

I screenshot only to run pics through Tineye (reverse image search) whenever I suspect someone is using stolen or fake pics. It has helped me identify 3 fakes in the last several months.
If this feature goes through to development, then it will make those who take screenshots for reverse image searching seem like “pic stealers”. If I was in charge of product development, I’d spend the company’s precious time & resources working on stronger user verification.

There is no theft. As Judge Judy says, you sent it voluntarily so it is their property. There is no need to screenshoot it anyway, just snap it with another phone or camera.

I dont see the problem with screenshots. I like to keep a record of who I hookup with so I screenshot everything.

To block screen shot's option like hornet so that men can't screen shot user photo and basically talk ****.

People will find work around anyway. Don't worry about it. Why not let people have a photo of you or your ****?

NO, BAD IDEA. Look we all take chances putting out our pics, but this is a "date site" where people hook up. There are too many kids who post they are 18-20 but are actually under aged. For my part to protect myself i take screenshots of the profle and pictures showing the profle names so that of im accused by some angry parent i have proff their kid was in grindr, asked for my picture and i wasnt aware of age. Screen shots are an important tool to keep us safe from being branded paedophiles. NO TO THIS IDEA.

I think it would be better if they blocked being able to do screen shot like many internet pages; that prevent you from doing screenshot. that would be called copyright

And so what, you get a notification that the other user took a screenshot of your pic. Then what? They still have it.

I use screenshots to photo search people for safety and alert people of fakes or dangerous people. Screenshot has it's purposes.

It would be much better if you stamped the screenshoted images like stock photos do OR do not allow screenshots at all on screens where pics are on full display.
