I find that the favourites filter doesn’t even work properly, let if you wanted to apply other filters to your search favourite (not a feature I wanted since they’re faves for a reason, and I could search with notes…), since this change.
My mate lives next door and is the first on the grid without the favoutires filter applied, then I apply it and *poof* he disappears.
Not impressed this was imposed after they took my Xtra cash as the notes are now redundant, leaving me with something I didn’t pay for.
Found this in section 7 of their Terms of Service:
If We make material changes to the Premium Services that: (a) reduce the functionality available to You on such Premium Service and (b) are mandatory (i.e., do not require You to update the Grindr Software to become effective); You may terminate Your account accordingly within ten (10) days of such modifications (as provided in Section 10.3) and receive a pro-rata refund for any amounts pre-paid, but unused for such Premium Services.
Poor sod if you pay for a year and miss the first 10 days because they provide zero notice of any updates. Bug fixes are fine, but where’s the song and dance other apps do when major updates are coming?!
Only pay 3 months at a time here thankfully with a month left. Have canceled the subscription pending a reversal of this, and even then would be wary of longer subscription periods given this clause and the in ability of the company to listen to their customers or communicate with them.
I’ve just rolled off a contract and would be happy to offer my services to the team for a month to help sort this out and regain confidence in return for an Unlimited subscription (once the wanted features are back of course 😉)
