Verification system
Due to safety concerns especially in countries where gay people are criminalize, a verification system should be added to help build trust among users. Before successfully uploading individual face pictures, Grindr does a real time live face verification to confirm the person uploading the pictures are infact uploading pictures of themselves. You'd be required to do a face verification after every 3 months to confirm you are still the one whose pictures are attached to the account. A successful verifation gets a yellow tick and if the pictures doesn't match the captured face, decline upload and flag it, this will affect their trust score if it occurs after 3 attempts. Verifying their pictures would also weigh on their trust score.
The trust score would be one of the the metrics for other users to ascertain a real account for safety. The trust score would rank from 1 to 100 and the system calculates it by average. When someone meets an account along side the ratings (which I suggested earlier) there should be a column where security reviews for authenticity can be left e., there could be a consistent standard question in that section like "Was this a safe experience?" "Did you feel safe with this person?" These reviews will not be visible to the public, rather, the system would use the data to calculate and weigh in on their trust score. If multiple accounts flag an accounts, it affects and reduces their trust score,if they say they felt safe, it increases their trust score. The higher the trust score the more authentic the account is. Only accounts who have chatted with an account can post a security review and star-rate an account.
