Grindr is a massive company not at risk of disappearing, so they really don't need to profitmaxx so hard and annoy people into buying another subscription service. This annoyance has the opposite effect - many people are uninstalling because Grindr has become nearly impossible to use due to constant video advertisements. I'm sure their own data shows this too. Whichever lame businessman came up with this idea in a board room should be promptly terminated.
