You’re charging WAYYYY too much money. It makes the app less worth while for those who do pay as well. So it’s like why pay at all?
Dear Grindr Team,
Finding your type is challenging enough without the added burden of high subscription costs. It feels unfair to force an entire generation, many of whom cannot afford an expensive app, to struggle in their search for companionship. The high subscription fees make it difficult for free users to justify the cost, especially when they receive so few features in return.
Not everyone has the financial means to purchase a subscription. By charging such high prices, you inadvertently make it harder for people from all demographics to find partners who match their physical and lifestyle preferences. In the midst of an ongoing housing crisis and widespread financial struggles, it’s hard to see the value in purchasing a subscription.
This pricing model can make users feel unworthy of finding a partner and discourages engagement, as many features are either unavailable or too costly. I urge you to consider more affordable options that allow everyone to benefit from the app’s features, fostering a more inclusive and supportive community.
Sincerely,
Charli xcx
