Making verification so expensive put trans people and young gays at risk. I am 32 years old but I turn my age off so late at night the older gays will prey on me. Right now I’m in the lobby of his apartment and before he told me his address he demanded $40 so he could get drugs. I am wearing my clerical collar so when he and his “roommate” saw me they decided to shake me down for cash. When I wouldn’t give him money he basically said he didn’t want sex anymore. He lured me over saying that we would just smoke weed and have fun. Then he tried to get money from me. If I block him I lose the evidence. If verification was cheaper things like this wouldn’t happen to the 18-21 year olds trying out Grindr and gay sex and being out for the first time. Stop these predatory older men please.
