As a user who isn't confident to use the app in public, i think having a feature where you can customize the look or appearance of the conversation/chat will be helpful for people like me. When I'm about to meet someone and i need to open the app in public and contact the person i will meet, i get shy and I'm not bold enough to use the app in public. Because most of the people now know the look of the grindr app and its appearance in look. Especially the colors of the conversation which is Black, then Blue (the color that appear for someone who messaged you), then yellow (the color of the bubble of your message). These colors when glanced in public, they'll know it is Grindr app. So, having a Feature where you can customize the app in to your liking will be really helpful not only for aesthetic (which is really not about it) but also for the comfort of the discreet or shy users.
