Receiving profiles for men HUNDREDS of MILES away
Two things. First, allow us to enter a "distance away" number in miles the same as other filters.
Second, automatically limit the grid entries to no more than 30 miles away unless we ask to see profiles more than 30 miles away (using the above filter).

I just received a solicitation from someone who is 6,062 miles away. That's a 10 hour non stop flight no matter how you cut it, so this is Grindr intentionally exposing it's users to harmful scams.

This problem is making the app unusable. Every time you refresh it shows a few (not close) profiles among the local profiles. Then next time they are maybe there, but maybe it’s corrected.

This is critical for being able to effectively use the app to meet with men near enough to hookup with. Having to manually weed out the guys too far away is tedious and not at all productive in using the app.
