Every time I link my Instagram account to my profile, I receive Instagram requests from far right neo-nazi Christian nationalist strangers from out of state. It’s very disturbing and unsettling. It makes me question If my profile data is actually secure and individuals are somehow circumventing privacy safeguards - or if grindr is willfully providing my data and info to hate groups and anti-lgbtq+ organizations. Lately I feel like the cyberstalking is turning into cyber hunting. And now that I post this, I yet again, am required to sign up and provide more personal information. Who knows who’s hands it will end up in.
