I would like to be able to exclude profiles from another state.
I live in (way) upstate NY, on the border between NY and VT. When I open grindr I see lots of profiles. When I open a profile grindr says that the member is 15 miles away. What grindr doesn't ahow me is that even though a member is 15 miles away, he's on the opposite side of Lake Champlain and in a different state. While 15 miles doesn't sound very far, it's a 20-minute and $30 ferry ride away! While I'm good at what I do, I haven't yet met a guy that was willing to go through that just for a good BJ!!
As an alternative, grindr could show me the state that the member lives in, since grindr ALREADY HAS AND USES a member's geolocation data. Grindr may already have the technology to do this.
