Language Filter / in app translation
A language filter would be great. When uf traveling and ur in a coubtry where not everyone speaks English, French, Spanish, Portuguese etc it can be a huge task to connect with people. For example speaking English in French Africa. It would be great to filter on language so you can connect with people.
And another request is to having in app translation, with a stamp that it is translated so you can see that people are using translation. Kinda like browsing outside ur area.

unlimited subscribers have translator enabled however unless their chat recipients are also an unlimited subscriber (probability… low)
this is kinda useless as the chat is one way only ..

I am living in Portugal and not good in the language. When you look into profiles they are of course to 95 % in Portuguese. I suggest you make it possible copy the profile text and so one could use Google translator to get it into English. Today it's not possible copying the profile texts.

Here’s the thing: I read the other NFR that was closed without being addressed and a lot of people mentioned that there should be no point in having a hookup with someone you can’t talk to. I agree. But I am from the US, living in Mexico, where communicating in-person with someone is relatively easy because 70% of human communication is non-verbal.
For anyone who speaks more than one language, you know that talking verbally with someone, seeing their body language, gestures, etc is one thing. Writing it is different. Reading it is even more different.
In an age of digital nomads, traveling around the world, sharing culture and connecting in new ways, Grindr should be doing everything they can to innovate and tear down walls that divide people.
After all, it is a relatively simple API call that could be integrated as a paid feature and I would pay for it. Win-win.

In the German app, "stocky" is incorrectly translated with "dünn" (= skinny)...
I just noticed after changing language

Translate front page of profile or at least allow copy and paste

The best part about Grindr is being able to meet people all over the world, but there is a huge language barrier because while you can translate messages, you can’t translate their bio to see what they are saying. You can’t even copy the text and paste it into a translation app.

I read in the news that Ethnicity will be removed, in that case please can we have a "languages spoken" added? I only use grindr to connect with people who speak languages I do. Thanks.

Please. I live in an area where Spanish is a major language, but only speak English. This would make it so much easier than copying the text, exiting the app, pasting it into google translate, then typing what I want to respond, copy that, go back into Grindr, and paste it into the chat.

It would be great if copy paste was available on user profiles. Example: a user has a large message on their profile in Spanish. If I could copy & paste I would be able to translate

I am going to Colombia later this year. I don't speak Spanish. No problem with chat via copy message and Google translate. But very tiresome with the profile text. And understanding profile text content is important.
Can you make an update either enabling translating main languages profile text into english or make it possible to copy profile text so we can use the copied profile text for gogle translate.
Best wishes from

Like in many applications, it should be possible to select a profile text to have it translated by Google Translate or else
