They actually implemented this idea without REALLY implementing it. I have unlimited (I wanted to try it) and it was a 3-month upgrade offer for $59.99 USD. Normally, it's $40 per month, which is absolutely ridiculous considering they don't even have verification.

These clowns have inflated the grid with straight assholes looking for new-style girls to fuck, the Xtra version produces far less viable content than it ever did--for a raised rate.

And Unlimited is a JOKE. The price is an outrage, and when the only unlimited thing on Grindr are the criterion for which this newly "inclusive" bullshit app now uses to qualify members

I did consider paying for Xtra or Unlimited as my choices on the free version are crazy restricted and honestly it's just not an option for me.

The only thing that works in a subscription model would be Xtra at €2 or €3 dollars a month and unlimited at €6 or €7.

The only feature people seem to really want is to increase the numbers of profiles they can access. A lot of the other features seen pretty unimportant and unnecessary. Certainly not what I would fork out for.

Also shouldn't we be able to access all profiles by default. In a very homophobic country with almost no scene Grindr is the only option for most people to connect hookup or otherwise. It's not good for connecting with members of any minority to be behind a firewall. Even if we're talking about a hookup.

Unlimited is an over priced-option from Grindr. The problem is Grindr is so well known they can take the risk of a few people leaving vs the number of new joiners. After (goodness knows how many) years of being a Grindr/Xtra member I am voting with my feet/hands and uninstalling the app at the end of October. Xtra is (in my opinion) no longer worth paying for and Unlimited is TOO expensive to justify.

Xtra Monthly is £17.49 vs Unlimited Monthly £34.99 – That’s double the price!

Xtra 3 Months is £34.99 vs Unlimited £69.99 – Also double the price! – Also an £84.99 option

Xtra 6 Months £55.99 vis Unlimited £129.99 - £75 increase!

Next best thing will be the end of Grindr

I bought Unlimited membership because I wanted to be able to delete messages and pictures that I was sending to people who ended up being asshole but I’m finding that I cannot delete pictures and the text that I sent I can only delete them for myself the other person still sees them. what the fuck?
