Stricter verification
I would like for Grindr to implement stricter verification for new and existing users in an effort to combat underage individuals posing as adults, bots, etc. I've heard a number of stories of men who have chatted with individuals who they thought were of legal age, only to find out upon meeting them that they're some horny teen. I'm proposing the implementation of verification measures such as ID (Government issued, driver's license, passport, etc), bank account, submitting a facial selfie with a piece of paper visible displaying a verification code, email verification, as well as changing the age requirements to make it so users must be 21 or older to join Grindr. If this is implemented, I'm hoping this sparks a new trend across the internet where sites implement strict verification measurements in an effort to keep minors off the internet.
I'd also like for all new and existing profiles be required to have face pictures of the user with a verification code displayed, with failure to do so resulting in immediate account termination. It should also be a requirement for both new and existing members to fill out their profiles as well

Add verified pics options and allow users to see and get messages from verified users. There is so much hate and spam on Grindr and sadly you guys don't do anything about it.

I think catfishing is a huge problem as it’s always been. All these bots accounts or malicious people creating fake accounts. I think Grindr should implement a Verification badge. This will give somewhat better security that you’re actually talking to the person they say they are. Only way to get this verification badge is to send a picture of you holding your Photo ID. The badge is displayable to anyone who views your profile. I’m a content creator and have had multiple people get scammed by catfishes using my pictures.
I really think this is a good idea that should’ve always been around. :)

I think there should be an option to upload a quick introduction video so we can describe ourselves and it also is a good way to To separate real people from the bots

Every profile needs to verify their identity by uploading their documents (authorised documents only) like passport, driving licence..then no one can create fake profile spammers can't login grindr from different profiles..one user id one account policy.. after verification that profile must mentioned as verified profile and also remove the blocking options in profile change as not interested...

Having the option of uploading a short clip or animated photo maybe shuffling through photos would be cool, but I think it would be helpful for those of us not “on the down low” and sick of proving were real if there was a way to upload a video clip as verification repeating a phrase or saying our user name maybe that was viewable within the profile photos publicly because getting asked if I’m fake or told to prove I’m real is a pain I get on the app now only if I’m 100% ready to video chat with people with no profile pic.

There's so many fakers, scammers and catfishes on the site, also there's people underage here as well, there needs to be a huge update that makes people verify that they are who they say they are in the photo, plus I think there needs to be an age verification on here as well for people if they wish to create an account, it would make the app much safer to use for everyone!

Grindr demands you give out your phone number in order to sign up for an account.
Claming it helps fight spam which is completely false, there will always be spam and can easily be deleted, as easy as hitting the delete button. Even Grindr spams us with their ads. They will also use our personal info with third parties even if they deny it, it's already out there in the web.
I will not give it out, you shouldn't either, it's common sense right? Privacy invasion!!

Sometime you decide to block a guy but he keeps creating fake profile
I’m order to bother you, stalker you or making some fun of you. Last year I had t face a guy with 5 profiles. It was annoying for me and illegal for him using other guys pics.Enrico

I was going to suggest this idea. I use an app that uses this technology so it does exist.

Every New User Will Have To Submit A Verifiable Document To Prove They Are Who They Say They Are. I believe this will help with determining FAKE accounts that seem to psychotically be everywhere. Another Suggestion Would Be; To get users more “involved” with the app and services, have the option for “Reward Tokens” to be purchased by users and then in return, they can of course distribute however many to whomever, which would then give the “receiver” (Gay pun not intended) the ability to use those tokens as a discount in their next month subscription or gives them the ability to use certain Premium members only options for a limited amount of time ..

Great way to ensure you have the account holder accountable and prevention of refending by making another profile might be good for a bio requirement

To Have the option of a verification! I'm not saying inforce it on every user as I know this app for discreet and taken guys also. there are third parties out there that offer a verification systems to social medias so it's not even like you'd have to create it yourselfs, the option would make this app a hell of a lot better not wasting time
How long do you expect to keep paid users when you won't address a wide spread problem on your platform?
