Users should be notified of/have the ability to block other users from non-consensual screenshots of the photos we send, our chats, and our profiles.

When is this going to be taken care. This is something critical to be addressed but they are not addressing this and developing web pages as development 🤷♂️

Just had someone blackmail me. Threatening to send my pictures to friends and family on Facebook. No idea how they found me but this needs to be taken care of.

People screenshot my photos and use them as their own alot. Ill chat someone just to be told im using someone else's photos because someone else just sent them the same pics. Whoever they meet up with using my pics will not be happy. Less than 12 hours since i was told to unzip and prove its me

Make chats a way people can't screenshot them for privacy concerns

Taking screenshots and screen recording should be strictly blocked while one is using grindr.

Any pictures shared on the app should be private the same way the temporary one are. Don’t allow anyone to screenshot them at all. Protect peoples privacy.

I would just like to see there be some kind of privacy setting on the app so that conversations and pictures cannot be screenshot

Currently a user cannot screenshot expiring photos and album photos. But there is no such protection for recorded videos (15 seconds) and for live chat (video calls). Grindr will become the safest platform if the recorded and live video chats are also protected from screen recording just the way expiring photos and albums are protected.

I know Grindr can implement features that block off explicit content from being downloaded or screenshotted, but why can’t they do the same for videos that aren’t in albums? Really there shouldn’t even be the option to send content that isn’t blocked. Would make me feel a lot more safe sending videos to know they can’t be screen recorded and shared, or at least to be able to upload videos from my camera roll so that there’s more control

Disable all screenshots inc video calls full stop to protect all users from cyber crime! Identity theft if a major issue and the sharing of private photos is of grave concern. Ban screenshots full stop!

Why not ask for screen shots for proves of violation of guidelines most people report because of hate dislike of the person to be fair

In the profile information, display the date the account was registered and / or how many accounts the user operates from an IP address - this will ensure that the account is genuine.
Also, do not allow screenshots to be uploaded to the album - this will prevent the number of identity thefts.
These few simple points would radically change, increase security in the application.
The elaboration and implementation of these points is important - unfortunately it is unenjoyable in several countries for these reasons Grindr.
A captcha for the registration and login form would not hurt. -

When people request for pictures and then suddenly block you, they now might have screenshot of anything you've sent them and we can't report them for this behavior because they just blocked us so our pictures might be randomly roaming online now

I tried to screenshot my message to check whether this app restrict the screenshot function. Turned out it doesn't restrict it. I'm very afraid that the screenshot photo is used to make fake profile, misused for something illegal and also for safety reasons. And also these era is where deepfake is exist. I don't want to become a victim of fraud and identity theft. Also our picture can be searched on google using google picture. So I hope the developers add the screenshot restriction to keep our privacy secured.

Please blur all screenshots taken inside the app, not only expiring photos and albums.
I believe any kind of screenshot inside the app should be prohibited, including the grids, chats, profiles and non-expiring pictures.
