Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

Bring back Ethnicity search facility
I object to it having been removed. This is about Preferences, not racism. -

Agreed. It's preferences not discrimination!

The ethnicity filter has gone missing. Was this intentional? I hope you will bring it back!
A racial preference is no more racist than a ****** preference is sexist.
What matters is to encourage inclusive preferences rather than exclusive ones. That is, people should state what they like, not what they dislike.
There is no shame or dishonor in having a positive preference for guys of a particular ethnic background.
Please respect my right to choose an intimate partner according to criteria that I choose for myself, without coercion or prejudice.
Thank you.

Because, if you have a preference, your are potentially discriminating....the reason why filters by age, position, and everything will be removed gradually LOL
I will not renew my paid XTRA subscription, which should renew in 2 weeks time. -

POC cannot find other POC and that’s not an intuitive feature. When they are a minority they are unable to find eachother since the majority of profiles are non POC. At the minimum let the people who pay for XTRA get that feature back.

Why can’t I sort by race anymore?

I think your attempt to prove that Grindr does not discriminate is commendable but I feel removing this option will hurt the user experience and may cause many to cancel their subscription and move on to another app. I know that discrimination is everywhere but this will not resolve discrimination or change her mind in any way but it is patronizing for adult men, who by the way pay for your service, to have Grindr choose who they can and cannot talk to you. I knew a few users who have closed the account and move on to another app. I'm not white but I are more sexually attracted to white men and those are the men who I want to talk to and plan to meet. If you want to make a significant change you can change your conduct policy to delete profiles that are racist and discriminatory towards any LGBT-XYZ members.

Having a preference doesn't make you a racist. If you aren't attracted to women that doesn't make you hate women.

They did take it out for racial reasons. They told me their backing of BLM was part of the decision.
I cancelled my subscription.

Having a preference who I want to meet for Grindr purposes is not racist. Curious you didn’t remove my ethnicity from my profile, nor did you remove height, weight, age, or orientation filters—all constitutionally protected classes just like race.

I find Grindr but fitting my needs since it has deleted functions. I will not be renewing

Without ethnicity filter I have no use for Grindr extra. It’s wrong to remove something that you have shown as part of a subscription package. You should have an announced a while ago. Even if you put it back, we have lost time and had a bad experience for one day long!

I am not prejudiced. Period. But as far as ***, I'm only looking for white guys. Without the filter my entire screen is now filled with guys I have no ****** interest in. I don't want to state it in my profile and the filter was the easiest. It didn't keep other races from seeing you - only made your browsing easier. This is simply going too far. I have enjoyed Grndr but may cancel over this.

Wouldn’t it just be easier to let the guys who aren’t into “you” just filter you out and everyone just move along to the ones that do...because they are out there...and as of now being hidden with profiles that don’t.
