Dear Grindr!

I will no longer be using your platform due how you gotten rid of the Ethnicity tabs based upon the high volume of White/Caucasian men who were the ones complaining about how it was "racist" or in fact are mainly the racist ones! Speak to those who are actually of other ethnic/cultural backgrounds or how you have been used to BAME! Someone who like me who is of South Asian heritage whose community, culture, and ethnicity ranges of multiply countries used that tab to meet, connect, engage, find, date, talk too, and create a sense of community groups regardless of their location. Rather than having to see the the overwhelming seas of White/Caucasian Faces and Bodies, that tab helped us find others like us within our community to not only meet in person for whatever their reason was! The fact that tab helped us connect with others from our cultural backgrounds, language, religious beliefs, and communities to help support one another. Because if you live in a some random city in the. middle of nowhere, and you go on that app to find someone who can speak the same/similar language as your ethnicity, it creates a sense of hope. That tab opened doors for many who were looking talk to someone who would understand their similarities. By getting rid of that tab, that may seem you "helped" the BLM movement, but you really killed the voices for many of us who maybe South Asian, Middle Eastern, Etc backgrounds who were using it to meet, make friends, or even find someone they wanted to spend their life with; with the same cultural ethnicity and backgrounds! I can vouch that there AREN'T and STILL ISN'T Dating apps for the LGBTQIA+ South Asian/Middle Eastern/Asian/ETC Communities out there dedicated to help them find friends or be able to speak to someone who understands what their struggle is currently like! Thank You Grindr for listening to only the your white/Caucasian clients who are not the ACTUAL VOICE of minorities! The only way you'd fight racism would have been better patrolling the profiles that were being created, creating content that was forced to be watched to educated them on what sort of language they were using, because I can tell you this, I've had people message me saying some weird **** saying, "I want that .... insert ethnicity related *** comment here ...." and made me go, dude thats seriously wrong!

Stupid move Grinder! Many of us seek out minorities. Now my screen only shows a couple minorities in a sea of white. Minorities will not be able to interact with each other either with the filters removed.

Did you survey your customers before removing the filter? I don’t think so since removing the filter actually HURTS minorities!

This is a very poor decision to remove the ethnicity filter. You are actually hurting those of us who prefer men of color or different ethnicities than caucasian. I am personally physically attracted to black men and asian men and now will find it much harder to engage with my specific type - it's the biggest reason I paid for Xtra and if it isn't restored, I won't be renewing and will stop using the app.

I only pay for extra because of the ethnicity filter

Why did they remove the filters at the first place? What the ****!!! I looking only for a type of men!! And now I have to deal with all those men that I don't want to see on my list!!! Please restore it soon

Please please please restore the ethnicity filter. This app isn’t really worth it to me without it. It is a nice way for me to find guys that aren’t very close to me and because of it I’ve made some amazing friendships.

I would like the choice to choose ethnicity!!

The only reason why I have grinder is cause I can choice the ethnicity and the *** preference.

I’m a paid member. Bring back the race filter or mandate clear headshots for every profile.

Using the race filter is just like using the age filter. It gives more variety of men in my area.

I live in an area that is heavily saturated with one or two races. I would like the option to browse other races on my limited feed.

It’s hard enough to browse through profiles who don’t have complete profiles or any profile.

If you want to remove a filter, remove something like height, weight or body type. This is information we can get through conversation.

Filtering is important and we should have the option to use it especially if we are paying for the service.

I have my own preference and I think forcing me to view people I’m not interested in is ridiculous. It’s as racist as it can be. If not restored in filters I want my money back.

Being able to filter by ethnicity is NOT racist. You are just doing this because everything that is going on in the current political climate.
