I got a new phone and this has disappeared

Hey why did you guys delate the ethnic area in the profil and profil surch?? Thats very important, for many of us!

I noticed the ability to search by Ethnicity is gone. That is absurd. Honestly, in a way it's grindr contributing to the core problem by creating a stigma around race. Is it wrong if I am a White man, but I like Latino men? No, that is not wrong. Is it a problem if I am a Black man that is looking for other Black men to connect with? No, that should not be a problem. It would not make me racist. It would make me comfortable. When you made the decision that searching by Ethnicity would no longer be an option, but that by Age, by Body Type, by Weight would be options. Well, that's Agist if I am searched by Age. It's a form of Body Shaming if I don't appear in a search because I am Slim. There is no difference. I have the ability in my profile to not list my Ethnicity, if I so choose. Therefore, if it's an option in the profile; then it should be an option to search by. I would have expected grindr to find better ways to show their support for #BLM.

So annoyed it’s been taken away. Having a preference isnt racist and for POC trying to connect with each other now without the filter often non come up. I’m not renewing and I want my money back because this is why I upgraded in the first place

I'm a POC and its really ****** me off that you got ride of the ethnicity filter when I was using it to meet people of my own personal ethnic background, when there is a sea of just white/caucasian guys! Has your company even bothered talking or even asking the majority of your POC clients how they actual felt about the tab? I swear to god, ever single news article i've seen, those who complained about the tab still being there, were ALL WHITE! Do you even know or UNDERSTAND what is like to be a POC whose dating options of meeting someone of the same CULTURE/ETHNICITY who can SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE, HAVE THE SAME RELIGIOUS BELIEFS, who CAN UNDERSTAND THEM because WE COME FROM SIMILAR SITUATIONS is like! Talking to someone else who may not even come from the same ethnicity, or backgrounds would not AT ALL UNDERSTAND the struggle, how our lives have no parallels! There are POC who actual like to meet someone from their own background just as much there are POC who are wanting to meet other people from other different backgrounds BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR CHOICE! This isn't about preference or racism! This is clearly not understanding what the **** that small tab actually meant! Because if you're either South Asian or Middle Eastern; Hindu or Muslim; Vegetarian or Non Vegetarian you have very LIMITED number of apps you are able to use as an LGBTQIA+ community member! There are not apps for those who are of those backgrounds that have access to finding individuals of the same cultural background! P.s. I'm deleting my profile, my app, and NEVER coming back to grindr all because you "assumed that this will help stop racism on your app"
