Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

I'm not racist. But 'etnality filter' is necessary for someone. I am an Asian man living in Europe. Many white people don't care about Asians, and they're a minority of Asians. Racists don't care if I'm seen or not. That's why I have to find an Asian like me. I bought a paid membership to use a filter. It's not like I'm racist against them, it's like a solidarity that I find and form in the discrimination they give me. Just as we have different gay and lesbian applications, it's like a sign of solidarity among single Asians.

While I understand the importance of providing an inclusive platform, I also want you to take into consideration that some of us POC would like to be able to connect with other POC. One of the reasons why I paid for the app was to be able to find a place where I can connect with other men of color. In taking this away now I’m limited to engage with the community near me which is mostly white and not really accepting of me

By removing ethnicity you’ve further isolated me from finding folks that identify as a person of color in a very white space. Anytime I’ve been in a extremely white space folks are extremely racist. I understand the motive behind the decision, however, this feature is helpful for folks who want to build a community with others who identify as a person of color. Many of my experiences living in predominantly white spaces have been traumatic. I’ve been told to go back to my country, been called a wetback, a sand ******, etc. So removing the ethnicity option is counterproductive.

What you’re doing by removing the ethnicity filter is tyrannical, social engineering ********. We’ll decide our own morals and make our own choices. I will be waiting 1 week, then cancelling my subscription and deleting this app if this is not rectified. It’s disgusting that you think your “morals” should supersede your customers freedom. Have a spine and stand up to the mob. We’re NOT racists for having our preference and all you’re doing is making it more difficult for minorities to find each other if that’s what they wish to do. I like Asian and Latino men, you ARE NOT going to make my preferences ***** and subservient to your ideological, social engineering nightmare. Bring back our freedom of choice, just like we have in real life.

You’re absolutely right. Grindr, your disgusting attempts at social engineering are doomed to failure. I’m giving you 1 week to rectify this l, or deleting your app and cancelling my subscription.
I’m latino and like Asians and other Latinos, my preferences will not be ***** to your “morals”. You’re a social tyrants and GIGANTIC ******** for doing this just to cater to a lunatic, fringe movement of other social tyrants and domestic terrorists. Change now, or you will be (RIGHTFULLY) replaced.

I was told that ethnic preferences are removed from grindr now. Now your taking away my rights. It's not being racist It's a preference, just if I liked only guys with blonde hair and blue eyes. I paid for a full membership so I could use the filters. And now I'm being forced to scroll thru people I'm not attracted to.. your only doing it because you don't wanna lose business.. well guess what, I won't be paying for grindr once my membership runs out..

The recent decision to remove certain search criteria by ethnicity is pointless. Just because a person is attracted to a Latino or Asian man does not make that person racist. Each individual still has the ability to add profile headers and some say black men only, white bottoms only, TS/CD only. If your decision to remove search criteria by ethnicity I would think you would not allow this type of verbiage in a person's profile. The response to my original inquiry about this stated that this was removed and black lives matter specifically noted. If we all do not support the fact that ALL lives matter and equal rights should be for everyone regardless of race or religion then there will never be unity. Supporting rights by ethnicity or religion segregates ourselves and causes a greater divide.

Grindr removes the ethnicity filtre. how about the age filtre? the height filtre? the body type filtre? the position filtre? If filtre means discrimination, maybe Grindr should remove all the filtres? I hope they can also remove the limit of the number of profils showed at the same time or just doubles the number. Grindr should even remove the filtre of money, the difference between free profile and extra profile lol

Shame on you for deleting the race filter. I was able before to find the persons I was searching for in one second and now I have to search for hours for the person who interests me. Who cares about racism? Why are you such cowards? Why should I pay for not being able to search for the persons I’m interested in? You want me to cancel my subscription and go to Hornet? GET WOKE GO BROKE!

This is ridiculous. Bring back the filter!

So if I'm attracted to taller people, am I prejudiced against shorter people? If I'm attracted to older people, am I prejudiced against younger people? If I only am interested in tops, am I prejudiced against versatiles and bottoms? How about if I'm only into men? Am I prejudiced against trans or somehow trans-phobic?
It's time you cut out this politically-correct NONSENSE and let people have their OPTIONS on your app. If the ethnicity filter is not restored, I'll be cancelling my subscription.

Filters ... look let’s be honest racism within the LGBT community is likely higher than everyone combined. So make it easy for us. When “preference”’is no blacks & it’s filtered make it filter out for us black folks too. If someone isn’t interested in blacks they shouldn’t appear on blacks profile.
Better yet why not release GrindrBlack or GrinderM for melanin or sum ****. That a way we only connect with people who are either interested in us or respect us. ****, just find us human like them. It’s no need to pretend like this isn’t an issue in the gay community. Most white gay men are racist sacks of **** or just want BBC because they’ve ****** so many others they now need something bigger to feel anything. It would be nice to either not be the leftovers or only have leftovers.

This is BS you make us pay to not have limited search options and now you take away the main reason why I upgrade F that. Since when did being attracted to certain features turn into being racist? Will the oppression ever end?
