I don’t understand why this was removed. I love and respect all people, I believe in diversity and inclusion but to remove a feature such as this but still allow other search criteria makes no sense. I’m a white male and love white males but more In love with the beauty of black men. I found my ex from the search option long distance and now Grindr is prohibiting me from my rights as a human being and I am strongly considering canceling my pay account.

This comment is very well put. Especially about the app making it white lives matter. It’s caused the opposite effect of what they wanted to do.

Don’t wait till your subscription expires. You can cancel with Apple and get a full refund. Just say to them they removed the feature. I did and had a full unlimited refund. £159 even though I was half way through the year. 👍

On our profiles we have the option to put our ethnicity but we can’t search for it. That doesn’t make sense. Having this option is not racist. I can’t search for my type of guy. This is wrong, and the reason I cancelled unlimited app. If you bring it back I will purchase again. For now I am sticking with free version as it’s not worth paying for.
By the way. If you remove the option to search for it, you should also remove the option to put it on your profile.

I feel that if you are going to take a stand from political view point taken all filters need to be removed!!! By removing the ethnicity filter you have now taken away my right to only view guys that I like. Having this filter option is not racist nor does it fuel hatred or racism since it is law of attraction! I am a white male who is only interested in Asian, Latino, African America, Middle Eastern or mix raced men! I mean you can still filter by age, ****** position and tribe. If you are going to exclude one filter because of what is going on in the world you should really think things through since these filters are preference based. I am inclined not to renew my paid subscription this month since now I am not being provided the full service that is was promised when I signed up!!!!

Please bring back the ethnicity choice back. I pay over 200 or 300 a year for this app and I’m not allowed to choose my type. Why because you’re pandering to radicals? I pay a lot of money for this app and the feature was there when I paid for it , you should not be able to change half way through, the ethnicity feature is like the Hight , Weight and age options we all have our likes and dislikes pulse if I can’t narrow down that I’m looking for the it doesn’t not matter I’ll just go back to the free version

Dear Grindr team. I am very happy to use this app so far and be a member since many years, but I am so disappointed that your team doesn’t know how to make different about “racist” and “preference”. Please bring it back and be smart how to organize the app.

Removing the Ethnicity filter is an unfortunate error. It is my right to choose who I am intimate with. ALL LIVES MATTER. As I live in a country with one of the highest HIV rates in the world and more than 80% of the population is of an ethnicity that is at significantly higher risk of having HIV, I am effectively being told my life doesn’t matter because I’m a minority and not black. I won’t be renewing any time soon.

You have my full support mate. I'm white, from Australia. I would buy you a drink in a heartbeat, as a gesture as my full support. You have the full right to filter as does anyone who has paid for the filter. Its absolutely insane, and ruined the app.
