Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

We used to have an ethnicity option, where we can choose to search by a list of different ethnicities. I don't see that option anymore

Take age away from the name. Age is also something that is scrutinized

Turn it back On! Charging for the filters and not providing them to paying customers is false advertising. I'm not asking for my one month subscription back because I saw that it wasn't working during my free 7 day trial, that's my bad. So please turn it back on, some of us do like different "flavors".

Well said. Very shortsighted. Might as well remove all other filter options cause they are as "problematic". I'm white, but I'm not so much into other white guys, so the filter was very useful to filter through. Now it only show guys all over. Not sure who actually benefits from the removal. Seems like the white guys

How dare you ripping our money off
Credit back my money or get back the Ethnicity filter asap.
So unfair -

Agree. Or they might as well remove body type filter. So people can't discriminate against fat people and have to see them while scrolling. Also remove age while at it, cause ageism is also real, can't have that on grindr. And also make all profiles mandatory blank so we'll finally stop discriminating based on looks.

I agree one hundred 100% they've done just the opposite of what they were trying to, I myself like Asian guys and now I can't find them

Let people decide they want to be searchable by their ethnicity. That why minority communities won’t have to be lost in a sea of white gays. I can’t find my friends!

By eliminating the ethnic search, the regular search BY FAR shows WHITE MEN! So literally, you are eliminating men of color in the regular search. In order to find more men of color a person needs to upgrade and pay the highest amount so your feed is unlimited. This is nuts.

I mainly like asian and Latin guys. And then you guys take that feature away? Look, I’m white - I have nothing against other white guys but they’re SUPER EASY to find. To take away this feature while in the middle of a new subscription sucks.

Bring back the ethnicity filter. Without the filter, minorities cannot connect with other minorities.

Grindr should respect our money. It's not fair at all for Grindr to remove a filter we are paying for but not refund our money. BLM is not gonna work here on Grindr app. As Grindr you can't force people to like anybody. It's my choice. Today I may want a black or a white guy. Grindr should let the filter remain the way it was. You're just confusing us, not helping us. People are complaining about this issue. I am wondering how you can keep silent. Don't be like dictatorship leaders. Grindr was working good before BLM. And respect our money. We pay you, so respect our choices. Hope you will restore the filter.

Over 1,300 votes to restore ethnicity but because they are reflected in different threads it appears that not many people are seeking the same request. I officially canceled my membership today. My $240 a year might mean nothing but if 1,000 of us did it they’d miss out on $20,000 in one month. Why are we giving a business free money when they are not listening to customers.
