I originally made this request. I do not consider myself racist at all. I have seen people of different races on this app that I thought were attractive but if I find myself wanting to hookup with a black guy then I want to search black guys, sometimes it is latino, sometimes it is white. It is my choice and whether or not this app allows me that option, I will hookup with however I want to regardless of their skin color. For the record, I am paying for that option and since Grindr has taken it away, I feel that a discount is in order. My taste in men varies but that is of no concern to any of you who accuse me of being racist. Climb out of your Ivory Tower for one minute and understand that a person is not a racist because of their taste in men. I do not like white guys with long hair and I am white. If you want to label me as racist for that go ahead.

y'all want to remove entire ethnic groups from your feeds. Does looking at people you dont find attractive hurt you in some way? Because if it doesnt physically damage you, you're racist.

Its racist to completely reject an ethnic group from your dating/****** pools. Regardless of if you see yourself as racist or not, completely rejecting all people from an ethnic group shows you have a bias against their skin tone or ethnicity, which is literally the definition of racism.

Now that the ethnicity filter is gone, all I can see is the one race that predominantly lives in my area. It’s not very diverse anymore and it’s very irritating. I paid for this feature and it sounds like pretty much everyone wants it back. sh***y move guys.. like beyond stupid.

I agree with a class action lawsuit. Grindr made a change on race and said at that point we are all racist because of the race we prefer

It really is ridiculous that having a preference on who you’d like to put yourself inside is racist. In light of the atrocious permanent telephone number/device ID Banning epidemic, why don't the app do something beneficial for the users at large:

Like Tiktok where one can set word filters for comments, set an app wide filter for hate words and racial slurs across all races: Black, White, Hispanic, Jewish, Arabic, Asian, Irish.. etc.. Users will no longer be able to type out those hateful slurs in messages or use them in their profiles.

Just find a list of every hate word that exists for any version of human/religion/race/ethnicity/sexuality and Ban them all so that hate can no longer occur.

Bring the ethnicity filter back... i am black and i only want to meet up with blacks. There are no blacks in my neighborhood at all...

Return the Ethnicity filter. Everyone has a particular type. That is not being racist. We are not sexist just because we attracted to other men and not women. I want to upgrade and renew membership but will not next time unless you return ethnicity feature

Ethnicity needs to come back. With filters applied, those whom do NOT fit the requirements of set filters should NOT be able to contatct you either. Masc/Fem filters.. Doing better with distance in "explore" (THANK GOD!) still needs a little work.. "Willing to trade" filter should be added.. I hate guys that say they don't want to share face pics and expect you, to just accept who or whatever the they look like when they pop up... (HELLLL NO), I've rejected MANY! "Fetish" filter. "Webcam group chats" should be available for those who like going live, with different labled groups.... I.e. BBCs and BWCs, ALL Asian, 5" and under, 10" and up. Should be assisgned administrators to each group that review and allow/accept ppl into their groups. Can even go as far as individual model pages...

I cancelled my premium membership because the ethnicity filter has been removed. The only reason I signed up for premium is to search for other black males in the area!
