Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

Let's be honest, most of the times these filters are applied when you only wanna see white guys. Racial preference may not look as terrible as shouting the N word to a black guy, or Ch*nk to an Asian person, it is still racism. It's a short sight. If you don't like people you see on the app, block them yourself, if you find yourself not attracted to most guys around you and have to block all the time, face your own problem and face your racial preferences. Grindr is doing a positive thing for many of you so that the world you "see" is not just a world of white dudes. Big props for Grindr for getting rid of the racial preference filter to encourage the same exposure for gay guys of all colors.

I have to travel for work. Granted, not as much due to COVID, but its still "a must" for my job. As a person of color, I find it frustrating that this filter has been removed.
Sometimes I use this filter to find and connect with other people of color who can give me tips on simple things like, where can I find a local barber who knows how to cut/style my type of hair, where can I navigate safely in the area, where can I go to get products/services specific to me, or which areas can I go to where I'll be welcome.
I find it short-sighted for Grinder to have arbitrarily removed this filter without considering that it was a nice tool on one of the few platforms popular enough that it actually helped like-individuals to network and share information relevant to their ethnicity group...at least it use to.
Its already hard enough for some groups to effectively find each other and network. Although I understand the good intentions behind removing the filter, the actual effect of this policy just imposes a hardship on minority communities who are just trying to stay connected. Ever hear of adverse impact?
Clearly, this was a well intended but poorly thought out decision that was probably made in an "ivory" tower without solicitating diverse feedback.
However, I can't help but to point out that its still perfectly fine for the app to filter out people who are too old, too short, too heavy, too trans or too positive. Make it make sense. And, because I know you can't make sense of it, just reverse this ill thought out policy.

It is not racist to choose who you want to be with. We choose here color ,eyes, fat ,thin ,masculine ,feminine, Top, bottom,TS,TV. Why is choosing someone's race wrong if we find them to be attractive. Maybe, i want some of a different Ethnicity than myself. It's what we are ,don't ignore it, Appreciate it.

I agree, please allow this back. We have a right to have a sexual preference.

Restore the filter. It's a preference for most. Are there some who might use it to discriminate? There may be some but they'll STILL do so when going through filter results and ignore what they don't like. So has removing the filter accomplished? Nothing but make make the app less useful. For the vast majority it's a preference. Period.

All stats we enter should automatically be able to be filtered this makes it fair for everyone and less endless scrolling I understand I have unlimited but I don’t really want to be scrolling unlimited forever some nights I don’t want to have a look through the cascade at all I just want to find my type right now.

Once again I am the person who started this thread. Call me racist if you want, I do not care. I know who I am and those that know me know what I am all about. Forcing me to look at profiles that I am not interested in is not going to make me date these people or hookup with them. I will simply start blocking all profiles that I am not interested in. But I will say this, it is a sad day that there are those in this world who feel entitled to push their own personal agenda on others while simultaneously labeling people with differences of opinion as racist. I respect everybody's opinion even when I do not agree, it would be nice if I could get the same courtesy but I guess that is too much to ask. So I guess a white guy who wants to look at black guys only or latinos only is racist now, my has this world evolved. LMAO

A free replacement for Grindr would be fantastic. Like A4A but better.
