I need ethnicity filter back really bad. I can't find what I'm looking for. I have Jackd also and I like it better because they still have ethnicity filter. I'm about ready to close my grindr account that I pay for. I will not Renew it if ethnicity filter is not back by the time my grindr account ends in May 2021. To all of you wanting an app with ethnicity search option, go to jackd which still has it. More guys will start leaving grindr.

Hey guys will all the people asking to restore the ethnicity filter, the more interesting question is why hasn’t Gryndr returned it ?Obviously Gryndr doesn’t care about their customers. Why have this feedback site if your just going to ignore yourself customers. Idiots. Someone needs to develop a new alternative app so we can ditch Grindr. Restore the ethnicity filter please.

Please put back the choice to choose ethnicity. The area where I live is mostly Hispanic and while I have nothing against them. It makes it challenging to find my type.

You have totally ruined the app by removing the filter. Now how am I supposed to meet other hispanic men (not all, but many of them are native Spanish speakers) in the middle of the (USA) Midwest?
It's not always about sex. It's nice sometimes just to hang out and talk to someone in your own language!

If you removed the ethnicity Filter...then why still allow users to broadcast their ethnicity at all. Remove all parts that have to do with ethnicity! Why half do it?!! Since you all dont care about your customers wants and desires as it shows... just make it so everyone sees everyone and remove the ability to state what ethnicity you are on your profiles as well!!!🤷🏽‍♂️🤔

yeah we pay a premium for filters but this seems Absurd!

We used to have option to filter profiles with my desired ethnicity. But now that option is not showing up. It was really helpful filter with ethnicity. Plz put that back.

We need to acknowledge our diversity not hide it.if you hide it that only means your a racist

There is no reason to upgrade to paid Grindr since ethnicity filter is gone. Physical preferences are normal. I prefer guys with dark hair and eyes so was easy to turn off Caucasian in my searches to find that.

Hi Please re-instate this feature like many have asked for. Its not being racist in anyway if people like me prefer to meet different ethnicity people to myself, in fact by not re-instating this feature yoiu are actually breaching my human rights.

Limiting filters functionality isn't what I call progress. It affect the brands value proposition to it's customer. The membership fee increased so much it's ridiculous. But is it really worth it ! I DECIDED TO BE A PAYING MEMBER FOR A YEAR BECAUSE OF THIS . This filter us very important to a lot of members. I suggest that Grindr must focus to what what really is important. If you want to be the best, provide ur members the best. If you measure the information it can filter , is this really a premium service. hmmmm

We used to be able to filter by race. Why isn’t it there now. Very uncomfortable to chat with people and they say they aren’t interested in black men. I’d prefer not to have people I’m not interested in or possibly not interested in my out of my Search screen.

It’s been 5 months since the removal of the ethnicity filter. And literally, the result of this has been me ending up meeting up more white guys than I ever have before since I live in a pretty white area. Which is I guess what grindr wanted ? For us to meet more white guys which are the majority ? Y’all so dumb.

Wow! the prejudice and racism within the gay community just makes me sick! and most of you with this "My Preference Doesn't Mean I'm Racist" are FULL OF S***! because when I post my pictures I get hit on like crazy! Because I don't list an ethnicity (because I look like I'm a white guy!) But I'm actually biracial, my father is white and my mother is black, so when I posted my ETHNICITY AS MIXED! (and I said in my profile that I'm half white & black) all of a sudden! the taps and messages slowed down and then stopped... and other guys who were wanting to meet with me and have sex, totally ghosted me! so they wanted me when they thought I was white! because I look like a white guy... but to treat me the way they did when I changed my profile is flat out RACISM & PREJUDICE over "race/ethnicity" and there doesn't need to be an ETHNICITY filter... I want to see everybody! and if there's someone you don't like or you're not attracted to, THEN MOVE ON! you don't have to click on the profile or contact that person, but based on these comments you bunch of cry babies act like it's causing you some sort of physical pain to have to see someone who doesn't have the same skin color as you do! GTFOH with that petty B.S. it's the same as going out to a bar or a club, you'll see all kinds of men from every ethnicity, and if you don't like this guy or that guy etc..etc.. then you don't talk to or flirt with him, you will flirt with and try to hook up with whoever you're attracted to! There was a guy who would always flirt with me and told his friends how much he likes me and would love to be able to call me his boyfriend... and when gay pride came around, I was there with some of my black relatives and friends and he came up to me by the port-a-potty and said "Hey, you... I didn't know you had so many black friends!" and at that moment my mother! walked up and I introduced him and told him "This is my mom" and he was just frozen, his eyes were all over the place! and he smiled uncomfortably and said "Hello"... so via text later on! He asked if I was Adopted!? and he said/asked "So that's your real mom? and that means you're like, "Black" and I said Yes, but I'm biracial because my father is white... and next thing you know, the texts stopped, the calls stopped and he told someone else "He's just not my type" but I was 100% his type and he was all in love WHEN HE THOUGHT I WAS WHITE! so you all can save that "It's my preference, and I'm not a racist" B.S.

Sometimes when you are in a different city you are looking for your ethnicity, for me its more Asians to connect with, which without that filter is very difficult to find other Asians in nonasian counties.

I am not sure what problem that filter caused in the first place, won't it be better if racist idiots look for their own race and bother others?

Its purely not working, I have faced racism from the white community in Buckinghamshire,United Kingdom please restore... so I see my own people..I feel traumatised by what I see 👀.

Please restore this feature. It’s pathetic to think that just because you remove a feature all of sudden people are open to new races. It’s quite the opposite.
I personally don’t have any preferences but a lot, literally most if white people do. They are not gonna engage with me either way. Why should I see all these people who are not interested in first place.

For me I think grinder administration has a problem with us customers thats why we keep telling them about to Restore the ethnicity filter and they kept silent. This is bad customers care .first of all we pay money its our money. Ethnicity was not for free. And still removed they are still taking our ad usual. So I advise you grinder administration to listen us customers is boss.thanks
