Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

It has nothing to do with racism it is preference. Kinda like black guys trolling all the white people. They do that because it’s their preference. Those guys are the first to accuse you of racism, yet they aren’t dating their race either. Just gonna leave that laying right there.

I will unsubscribe to grindr unlimited if they don't restore the ethnicity filter. How on earth am I going to find other latinos in the middle of the USA Midwest? The don't even have a language filter so I can find Spanish language speakers.

Sexual preference is nothing to do with racism. Everyone has the right to find the ones they prefer. But not related with racism at all.

Why would Grindr remove the “ethnicity filter” and not remove “ethnicity” from profiles?????🤔🤷🏽♂️.......
So you decided to remove a much needed function but yet have “ethnicity” as a focal point on profiles ?!!!🤔🙄😒

How much longer are businesses like Grindr going to cave to critical theorist's racist bs? The level of cowardice at the top of these organizations is astounding. These execs are literally being race-shamed into these decisions. This behavior is disgusting and immoral because it's predicated on an obvious lie perpetrated by intolerant racists. And, the excuse to continue the lie is that anyone who complains is a racist......convenient.

It’s totally ruined the app for me. The idea that it’s racist... just read the comments. The whole point of this app is to allow folks to find each other — it was hard for gays in a sea of straights. Now it’s hard for poc or cultural communities within the broader gay community to find each other. It’s toxic that Grindr have done this, and I’ve been subject to way more abuse as a result of it being removed

I live in Gillingham and I’m a student finding a partner is the most difficult thing ever as an African black man I would like to meet people like me that’s all I’m used to and that is my type and if I can’t filter all the white men out it makes it very difficult for me to connect with people like myself with similar experiences sometimes that’s all people want it’s not rocket science some ppl like to be around ppl like them and that isn’t a crime. I’m a broke student willing to pay for this because it’s that important to me as it is important to ppl with stable jobs you will lose money if you don’t bring it back. Some areas are just not diverse and diverse people in that area are lost and alone.

2019 people at present have voted for this feature, why have Grindr NOT re-implimented it?

If having ethnic preferences is now racist.. Then by following that logic, having a sexual preference must be sexist!!
Out with this pc nonsense..

I agree. We need this restored. It has NOTHING to to with racism. Its a preference. Its who you are attracted to. If you're not going to restore the ethnicity filter you might as well get rid of all the filters due to discrimination, body shaming. Etc..... jyst restore the Damn thing.

Since y’all decided to get rid of the ethnicity filter, why not remove the option for it in the bio? I just don’t see the point of having it with the other stats if it can’t be filtered.
For the most part, people will be able to tell what the race/ethnicity of the person they’re talking to is, by looking at their profile picture, sharing pictures, and chatting. The removal of the option to filter by ethnicity is performative and a lazy attempt of being “woke”, unless y’all get rid of the ethnicity stat altogether. If grindr truly wants to make a point then they’ll get rid of the ethnicity stat.
Otherwise, please bring back the option to filter by ethnicity. -

Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to get rid of the “Ethnicity” search option? I won’t pay to use this app until the “ethnicity” feature is restored. This is just absurd. It makes finding who you’re attracted to much more difficult! I don’t want to have to sift through every profile to find someone I’m attracted to!

Agreed! But for the opposite reason! I'm native American, but I don't want to date another native American near me cause more than likely they know someone I know who knows. Y parents lol and it would be great to find a guy that's different from myself and not have to worry about being outted. And I also get confused for being latino alot, not that i feel some type of way about them its the people who are prejudice that are the problem. I'm often called many slurs. Often telling me to go back to my own country, when in fact I'm an Indigenous American whose from the very land we stand on and its not cool to say that to anyone. Especially here in America when my ancestors are the only ones that really have the right to say that. But yes bring back the filter. I don't wanna waste my time talking to anyone I'm not interested in just like the next guy. 🤷♂️🤣
