Online now and Photos only need to be basic filters otherwise the app is unusable. I may come back and pay again someday and the advanced features are nice though the extra should also really include the ability to tap and message people who just viewed you and maybe expand to say the previous hour not just three. I understand marketing wants to up sell these crucial features and moderation is more expensive with some the most premium features but the ads are already more than enough of a pain when they freeze up the app and it has to be restarted, which shouldn’t be either, to push people into the extra level. Photos only is a matter of safety and there is no use in seeing who isn’t online if half of those who show aren’t using the app.

Users must have a profile pic. My grid seems to be filling up with pic-less profiles whats the point in having an app if no one puts their pic or a profile?

There should be a option not allow your profile to be seen by any profile that’s blank, or faceless , and pics not of any person. Because I have a ex that stalks me on Grindr with blank profiles. So I have to block any blank profile because it might be them. It would be nice to just not allow my profile to appear to anyone who won’t show there face.

You have to respect peoples privacy, if you don't like you don't have to look.

I would prefer to put what I'm interested in & only people with that criteria be able to view my profile.
No picture/ face picture less profiles.
No one under the age or above an age range.
No one under or above a certain height.
Just a few examples^
I believe it would eliminate my need to block or ignore people. Creating a platform that feels more inclusive & positive for many.
I paid for Unlimited but still feel myself doing all the work to find what I'm looking for.
I bet more people would be willing to spend the money if weeding out all the unwanted connections wasn't necessary* -

Having to click every blank profile (no name/profile pic) just to see if it's someone else gets tedious. There should be a way, similar to adding notes, to get an idea right away whose blank profile I'm eye-ing without having to click on their profile. Just some quality of life things

I do not think it's fair that people who do not have profile pictures are allowed to view photos of the rest of us. That's stalking. It's also not fair that they get to densely populate the search results while YOU rape us by charging us for protection like your the Mafia
It's not right and it in no way shape form or fashion exhibits Grindrs commitment to keeping us safe

If someone has not uploaded a face pic, they should not be able to view profiles with face pics. Your platform is encouraging creeper and stalking behavior. If someone uploads a pic that isn't a face pic, they should only be able to view profiles of a similar exposure. If no pic is uploaded at all, that user should only have access to pic less profiles. If you can implement a feature to filter for profiles with albums, you can implement a feature that promotes fairness and safety.

Face only and online now filters should be basic filters and not advanced filters.
I'm gay not desperate. I keep hitting the limit to the amount of profiles I can see for free before finding anyone suitable. Because there is a sea of people that are hiding their face cause they are either not great looking or closeted.
Online only needs to be basic as well. If you are looking for some company you can't find anyone because there is a sea of off-line profiles to get through first. Why would I want to message people who I know aren't going to respond during the time I am available?Between the two its impossible to find anyone suitable. I just keep hitting the view limit without finding a single person to message.

Make a free filter that only lets men with pics 50 miles or less away be able to tap or message
That filters out all others

If they don't want to put their face up then make a category for only the face not shown to be in that category that way they can all be together until they change their mind and put their face on there it's a good incentive

The option of not showing blank profiles should return as a free feature for the app.
Currently both options of only showing profiles with a face picture or with any picture are only allowed to XTRA members, though they were both introduced for all users during their testing. Having a way of hiding blank profiles provide a simple convenience and extra safety for using the app. Since recognizing face pictures requires a harder development effort it'd be acceptable to be allowed for XTRA members only. Nobody's obliged to fill any pictures in their profiles if they wish so just as much nobody should be obliged to keep having blanked profiles all around while checking the app.

Strongly suggest adding the ability to block messages from either faceless profiles or profiles without pictures. I spend more time deleting messages from profiles that are either closeted, liars, or scammers. Most of these (but not all) come from profiles without pictures. Most Grindr users state they won’t respond to these profiles so why not just add the ability (perhaps to extra subscribers) to block these.

The hole point of a profile is to let people know what u look like . Your body structure. Things about you and so forth. But people don't fill them out and it's annoying. Everyone should have to fill there profile out completely or they get flagged and can't use the site.

It should be mandatory that before you can join the community online you need to have a reasonable pic of yourself available
