Add sounds to choose from for incoming notifications

Rather than having only one sound to indicate incoming messages, let us choose an alternate sound or let us use our own custom notifications sound.

Have the ability to change the sound to either the default notification sound of your phone or change to any sound you want.

I liked the old one but still. Other sounds should be available. So I agree with this. Since not everyone wants ppl. Knowing that they're on grinder. Since almost everyone knows that sound.

The sound is very recognizable and defeats attemps to use the app discretely.

Make the notification sound something that we can select, rather than the generic sound Grindr uses. DL guys want discretion And not have everyone around to know we are using it when that current Grindr notification sound is on.

User should have the option to choose a different notification sound of his choice. The grinder notification tone is popular and is a stress point for discreet users thank you.

This was a feature before and I think it made a lot of sense:
You could disable sound notifications for general chats but keep them enabled for messages from starred profiles.
This way, if you hear the Grindr notification you know it's from someone you want to hear from ;)

I agree with this. I work in a corporate environment, and to boot, in Law. It is quite surprising to clients and even friends and family when the "very well known grindr notification sound" happens, also when the icon appears in my notification bar. What is the point of giving me the option of changing the icon on my phone, if the notification icon and sound remain the same?

Grindr is very popular now and even straight people can recognize the notification sound. For XTRA, maybe you can create a few new notification sounds we could choose from that is unique to grindr but new and unrecognizable to most.

Yes, Please! I don’t know if you can on android but being able to on iPhone would help so so much! I don’t want to have to leave my phone on silent all the time (that’s what I do at the moment when using grinder). I love the discreet icons BUT that only helps so much.

There should be an option to only notify messages from favorite contacts, or maybe to select different ringtones for fav or non-fav contacts, so if a favorite contact messages me, I'll read it faster ;)

More sounds similar iPhone sounds will be great. Lot of people knows that’s grindr for that sound!! Was very nice change the icon in the screen but, the sound still been not discreet
