I sometimes notify a friend who is offline by sending a text. When they get online they never receive that text because there's no indication that they have one. I think the notification sound should work when they open their app after a long closure to let them know they have messages

Your notification pop up for the phone is not at all, when someone sends me a message it doesn’t give me a notification alert on my iPhone at all seriously

Everytime you go to a dm off a notification it never sends a message back to someone or if it does and you go to another dm it also won't send and go through, stop having us constantly resend messages.

The ui needs to include atleast a message notifcation on any page so ya dont have to back out out of the gallery pages to see in app notifications on messages

Is this site owned by BELL Media, Rogers Communication or a Communications conglomerate? It's become excessively commercial. I get that it's a business venture. But when you mislead people for the sake of potential profit it's abusive.

the app often crashes to the point of having to log out and back in. Besides, audio notifications often don't arrive. If this is solved, it is already a big step forward

Please that it’s a real problem for me, because the other day I forgot to turn notifications off manually and my boss saw my phone making noises due somebody sent me a few messages

Allow push notifications from specific people/chats and not have to allow for every notification. Then you could select which chats will notify you leaving the others unable to. This would enable you to maintain contact with people whilst not actively on/using the app.

Be able to toggle/turn on or off sounds for the different types of notifications while being able to keep vibrate functionality. In other words, be able to have a vibrate only functionality and being able to choose which notifications have sounds and which are just a vibration. We currently have the ability to turn off vibration and use sounds for each type of notification, but not the other way around. This would be an immense help as well as safety for when the grindr app sounds could put someone at risk in places where lgbtq+ people are not welcomed.

A push notification or even a "new" message like notification for when a message fails to send. I can go a while without knowing a message failed to send which leads me to ignore the app because i never got a reply.

The app notifies about happy hour on paid features somewhat regularly. Unfortunately, the notifications just open the app without the feature being activated and with no indication how to activate it (at least on Android, but I've heard similar complaints from friends on iOS too).

It would be nice to have the notifications activate the features, or at the very least tell the user how.

I imagine this would cause a lift of paid users in that people would be able to experience the features and determine if there is value for them.

This has been an ongoing issue across devices and emailing support only yields responses like "we will pass this onto our development team thanks."

Please add a feature, so we can know when someone take a screenshot in our chat, many fake profile, ask us for photos so they can use it :(

I typically have do not disturb mode all the time, but it would be lovely if I still had notifications from a selected group of people. So instead of zero notifications from anyone, there would be some exceptions. It would allow to stay in touch with someone specific.

Why can’t we reply from the Apple notification bubble like with other apps?

On iOS there is a feature "Do Not Disturb While Driving" when its on and someone texts you it gives a message that the person is driving and cannot receive any sms unless you text "URGENT" - for example - as people know when person is online on grindr and you text them the message shows up as "delivered/read" and receiver would get message, but when profile goes offline/idle the text message would show up as "sent" and the receiver would not get any notification therefore he would forget to check the phone to get updated. Sometimes it can be quite time and money consuming if you are going to meet someone and you are on your way and the person you supposedly meeting goes offline and you do not have other ways of contacting them so it would be quite useful feature if you would have the option to type "URGENT" and make the receiver receive the notification of the message that person has arrived. even though their profile had already gone offline/idle but you was still able to contact them and get the message delivered.

New Browse Filter: Recently Chatted (filter out people you haven’t chatted to in the grid based distance view) — make it easier than the list view in chats to keep conversations going, so you can see a grid of only people you’ve spoken to (who have replied!) combine with existing filters like “online now” so you can actually maintain connections and don’t lose people in the list.
