Why is this not a thing? I’m all for pick your gender, trans inclusion and all that but I’m a gay guy using a gay app and I like men. Why can’t I filter out the bi couples, straight guys looking for trans, females, ftm, mtf... this should be a thing.

Make a gender filter so we can filter profiles based on gender. For instance if I only want to see men, there should be the ability to filter out everything except men.

Subscribers should have the ability to sort by gender and sexual preference. I’m sick of seeing trans women and straight men on my feed and I'd love to block them all if I can. The app isn’t really made for them, but if they insist on invading our spaces and Grindr allows it to pull in more app users/ad revenue, then I need something to defend myself against the endless stream of “TS”, “CD”, “sissy fem”, “TS ONLY”, and “STR8” profiles that plague the app. Preferably I only want to see gay/bi/curious cis or trans men, nothing else.
Also there really needs to be a mass blocking feature. Email verification too. Or a one-time Live Photo confirmation to make sure the person using the app is sending out photos of themselves, not others.

New tribe filter for crossdressers who are not transgender. The fetish of wearing clothes is not the same as the entire lifestyle change and identity as a women with hormonal treatments and surgery. Very drastically different crowd.

There no way to filter what genders can see you or what genders you see. I’m a Cis woman looking for other women and there’s no way to only see other women.

IMO the app should support women too because many of men are bisexuals. The same of women, many of them are bisexuals too. It would need only a few more categories and the app would work for all genders

Since Grindr decided to change its gender and pronoun options, a feature allowing users to filter by gender Identity and or pronouns would be nice. This would allow for users to not have to waste their blocks, blocking users that they do not want to see, since Grindr only shows a certain amount of profiles at once.
