However grindr advertises as a social dating app for gay, bi, trans and queer people to chat and meet. It does state it was geosocial for gay men. Yes I’m a female!! I’m also a BI married couple. I thought this app would be better than the rest of those gay hookup sites due to guys trying to include me into the very encounters I was finding solely for my husband!! So I completely understand what you are saying. It’s very frustrating to find someone that has likeminded interest as is without all the worry of trying to include me into it.

Id like it made easier to do a search for a TS/CD or M.
It should be a way to just do a search on each separate. -

this is a great idea because our grids are being polluted with people who aren't our types

many of us aren't into trans, and many of the guys who are into trans, aren't into the rest of us guys. it would be best of both worlds if you could filter out these categories. for example, guys looking for trans can filter men out, and those of us not into trans can filter them out, so we all have an easier time finding our types!

Would be nice to filter out who is looking specifically for trans or fem. Its kind of disheartening when youre a hairy masculine man and looking for someone and everyone around you wants sissy/fem/trans/crossdresser
Maybe add a kink filter and a ***/gender filter to at least make it more down to the point on what is being looked for and vice versa

Tired of heterosexual women on Grindr

Filtering gender preferences. My grid is full of straight men looking for trans women. I am not interested in either and I pay for the service. If I pay I should be able to filter for what I am looking for.

I agree with you, although I'm the opposite I am a crossdresser and I live my life pretty androgynous. However I do not identify as female. I do not feel that trans is the proper label for me.

Why are you allowing straight females to join? They have hundreds of dating apps for hetero’s. It’s bad enough they take over our bars and clubs. I don’t need them on a gay dating app like Grindr. If I wanted to hook up with a female, I’d join Tinder.

I am an unlimited member. It is my choice if I want to see women in my grid which I do not. There should be a gender filter for those that women are not their preference. Not it’s not an act of hate to use a filter for gender, race, height or weight, etc. It’s a preference. If you want to keep those actually paying, there should be advanced features to include gender filters.

Advanced the grindr by adding a filter of genders

Best idea on here! Hello, we want control over what we're forced to look at!!!

As opposed to seeing trans women, lets add a gender search filter since im seeing trans women and that turns off my search experience. Just not my type.

They should either just offer a set list, or require manual approval for custom entries, like for photos, before the field goes live on your profile

They should either just restrict it to only a set list, or make it so when you enter a custom entry it has to be approved before it comes visible on the profile, similar to photo-approval

I think they should have to approve any custom-entry before it can go live, like with photo approval, to stop the malicious ones

Please add gender and sexuality in filters. Like man, woman.

Add a filter option for sexuality and gender! I’m sick of guessing if I have a chance with someone!

There should be some icons to highlight and identify straight guys.

Trust me, we'd all love if you had your own app, too.
