Used to be able to use the app with fake gps apps; others would be able see you unlike the explore feature built in. That way you can actually explore and talk to people in that area before you visit.

Really bad decision Grindr. You have removed choice! I dont want people at my door unexpectedly! Often spending time in a rural place, Im very very easily identified. You are placing users at risk. I underatand you want to prevent spam; but this is not the answer. Guys are still a waste of time wherever they are...after all...if yiu are going to meet, you can pick a place despite where the app thinks you are

That would be handy for those who doesn’t want to be seen close by. I.e a further distance of 2-5km especially in countries where it’s better to live in the closet.

I agree but I don't. I can see the desire for but there is enough fakeness on here that allowing one more is not needed. Besides most phones now allow you to use fake locations.

Ever since i.used a fake one he think i work or live somewhere now he gave.up because he cant take no for an answer. He is back again and i have to hide all my information and just open blank profile which is not my style. Now he uses fake pictures to reveal my self

grindr shouldn't be showing exact location in the first place, should be approximate for obvious safety reasons

Disable Google location services as this prevents users with fake gps app from changing location. Fake gps app is used for security purpose.
